You should of gotten another attorney the first time he lost your paper work. Report him to the state bar and fire him.

You need a new lawyer. A person has to keep their own records as this happens, and why who knows, but they are not very organized and do not have a good filing system otherwise this would not happen. Hopefully you can get your papers again and try someone else. Good luck.
