Democrats sit left and Republicans sit right. Where does an Independent like Lieberman sit? Guess this would apply to all third party candidates who are elected.

We have been divorced for a year, and separated almost two. We were in court In May of this year on a contempt charge I filed against him for non-payment. He was at the time four months behind, and the family court judge ordered him to pay the support he owed, and 1/5 court costs. There is a garnishment of wages clause in our decree, but the court will not enforce it because to them, its not considered a "hardship case". Many other cases go over $10,000 owed in back support, so they won't uphold the order at this level of contempt. He is at this time three months behind again, and we are preparing to take him back to court. I wonder what will happen this time diffferently since its his second time in front of the same judge, will they put him in jail? Will I finally get the garnishment judgement enforced? I just want him to do what is right by our kids. This has put me in substantial debt and my credit is screwed. Any educated guesses or experienced the same?

My mate was walking through the park on his own the other day when three lads (Who had obviously been drinking) circled him. One punched him, which flung him too the floor, and then kicked him when he was down. They then ran off. He's actually got a broken nose and reported it to the police. They then found the guy who hit him and kept him in prison over night. Then my mate told the police he didnt want to press charges because the police told him the most he'd get was a fine and my mate was worried he and his mates would find him and hurt him again. I think this is ridiculous and cant believe this guy is just going to get away with it. Is there any way that justice can be served (and no i dont want stupid answers like "smack him yourself")? can he not be put on a restraining order or anything?
Thanks for your help!
J

"Do liberals support bin Laden?" Hell No!

We want him dead, unlike President Bush who has dragged his feet for the last 6 years doing the job. For a President and a Party that always says "Stay the Course", you've all gone completely off course and have nothing but excuses to show for it.

Why then does the Mainstream Media show only Thompson, Guilinai and the others in their spotlighted choice when Paul was the clear winner?

You look at their poltical pages and they only show these Neocon favorites and you never see Ron Paul's name even though he has been the clear winner.

Why don't the American people deserve to see every candidate and have a tally of their poll results next to their names.

Prove me wrong.

Show me a debate that he has lost on polls done by Americans

I caught a glimpse just know while watching tv of a PSA (not from a Christian group but the CDC or something of that sort) urges parents to teach their children to wait. First off many parents do this and still the same results, and not to mention gay people can't married so there goes that idea and really not all religion preach chastity, it's mostly the Abrahamic religions and most American and westernized Christians are open to sex before marriage... What do you think, should the gov't push an idea like this?

Obviously it's Constitutionally illegal. The first amendment to the U.S. Constitution prohibits government officials from advocating a particular religion while on the job.

Cooper made a fundraising video for an evangelical group, Christian Embassy, which carries out missionary work among the Washington elite. Cooper says of his Bible study, “it’s not really about carving out time, it really is a matter of saying what is important. And since that’s more important than doing the job — the job’s going to be there, whether I’m there or not.”

Veterans for Common Sense and the Military Religious Freedom Foundation believe Cooper violated the first amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits government officials from advocating a particular religion while on the job.

Al Qaeda has a 'special' reason for 'asking' us to convert . In fact that reason is listed in their manifestos .

Just a little 'Al Qaeda Pop-Quiz' .

Do You Know Why Al Qaeda Sometimes 'Asks' Us To Convert?

I was just walking from the grocery store to my car across the street and got stopped. My court date got canceled due to bad weather and I never heard anything until 5 years later I got a letter threatening to issue a warrant.

I wasn't doing anything wrong and am refusing to pay. I might consider community service since that's benefiting people in general not just the police.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm wondering if I should plead not guilty and see if the cop doesn't show up, or maybe I can just spend a day in jail, or maybe I can do community service, or will it eventually just get erased from my record? But I don't agree with the ridiculous fine and as a college student I can't afford to pay it anyway.

"It is their custom to extend their enemies the chance to convert, before launching an attack. Therefore, if he makes this offer, it is code for his cells to prepare to act. Your thoughts?"

So, we just moved out of our old apartment... Granted we owe them money... 2 months behind.. got an eviction notice... attempted to pay it off, and realized we couldnt in a decent fashion.. so decided to move out.
I have every intention of paying back what we owe.. the last month rent deposit will come off the amount owed.

Because we were given an eviction notice, rather than moving out on our own, we did not repaint the kitchen.
We had to leave a deep freezer in the apartment, because my husband did not have any help to take it out.
We had a court date for Sept 17 for the "eviction hearing" I wasnt planning to go to this because we've left.

I found out from the super at the building that she is planning to tack on $1500. to repaint the kitchen and remove the freezer.

The kitchen was painted red, so would require 1 coat of primer then the normal paint...

Can she do this? I thought the court date was only re: eviction or not...

Can she do this?

Just found out my best friend's brother is coming home from his third tour in Iraq. He gave his legs and the vision in one eye for our country.

War supporting Republicans: You say you support the troops. You say that you are more charitable than Libs. What do you really do to support the troops?
So who's gonna pitch in to help him modify his home and care for his family ( two children 2 and 7)? Who's gonna give him a job?

Thank you for your service Sean! Wecome home.....

PS After this morning's news, I am hardly in the mood for smart *** responses.
