Well, think of the mentality of people who still support Bush and also happen to hate gays, minorities, science, etc.....These aren't the most intelligent people we have to offer. These people are usually very uneducated but completely unaware of their lack of education and intelligence. Good examples: PNAC Penelope, Brian, Wolf(maybe the dumbest of all of them), RLP, McMurphy, Don't Burn Me, the guy with the White Zombie face for his avatar, Ruth, Sway, Dancer, any of the Reps with porn stars as their avatars and all of the idiots that dedicated their Y!A screen names to 3rd grade name calling of Libs and Dems.
Every time one of these retards posts something bashing people based on their name or any other irrelevant issue, they are helping the Dem/Libs further our cause. Think about the undecided, if you're new and trying to find out where you stand on these issues, who are you most likely going to lean towards? Well, assuming you have an IQ about 70 you might be more impressed by the side using facts and making logical arguments to help their country. Now if you have an IQ less then 70 like the people listed above, you might be more impressed by name calling and the clever slogans that make no sense.
The higher up you go in college/education, the more left leaning people tend to be. The lower you sink or the less you know about reality and logic, the more you tend to lean to the right. For example, the entire Klu Klux Klan is Republican Conservatives(that isn’t a secret). Most red necks are absolute Republicans, most of them couldn't point out Iraq on a map or identify one elected member of the Republican Party, except Bush and maybe Cheney, nor do they care. You can't rationalize with these types of people.
My point is that Republicans cater to the uneducated, gullible, ignorant, racists people of America. Anyone with a brain usually sees through the BS. The Reps are now realizing this. That's why they've become so desperate lately and have had to resort to fascist methods of gaining and retaining support.
The Dems/Libs don't need to resort to these measures, but it does occur on occasion. The ideas of the Dems/Libs tend to speak for themselves. We don't need AM radio shows to fluff our egos about our ignorance.
The main difference between Dems and Reps is this: Before making up their mind, a Dem/Lib will usually look at the facts, use logic and rational thinking and THEN come up with their stance. Reps/Cons on the other hand will first address their emotional opinion on something, then search only for sources and information that only supports that belief and ignore anything that might force them to change their mind, regardless whether or not those reasons might conflict with their other beliefs. For example, many gay hating Reps will think "I hate gays because I hate gay people, but I just can't come out and say "I HATE GAYS!!!", so instead they'll argue that the bible says gays are bad, or “Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve”(they love that one because it rhymes, therefore it must apply to reality) and it's ok to treat them differently, but when religion comes into play against their other beliefs, they simply ignore it and label it as the “outdated” parts of the bible
Dems/Libs - Care about the truth and what's right(correct).
Reps - Care only about their emotional belief, hence why they cherry pick science, religion and irrelevant sources to justify their ignorance, hence why name calling and cheesy slogans(especially if they rhyme) work so well with them. It's like how children think.
So don't worry about it. Reps are only hurting themselves. They destroying their party from within.
I often times refer to the Republican party as the garbage of this country and I stand by that statement.
That was a lot of typing.
EDIT - Tara, your support of Bush is reason enough to categorize you as the garbage of this country. After all that he's done you still support him? Is it that you just don't care? Or are you like most Republicans.....a party liner? Bush could probably do anything and you would still support and defend him. You are exactly the type of person who I was referring to in my rant above.

Be careful with the generalizations there, pal. I have seen plenty from the other side too. I have also seen some very good questions from the Republican side. The only complaint I have is that most don't seem to want to talk about REAL issues but prefer to make personal attacks, or do name calling, or ask silly questions intended for a gotcha or to rile someone. Of course the other side does the same thing but I have found the left and center just a little more apt to ask real questions than the right but not much.

I am a Republican and this is the first time that I have been to the Politics section here on Answers. I think that some of the Democrats that have replied to this question here are no better than the "garbage of this country" if they can dislike us all as a group or call us "uneducated" or "racist". I am a supporter of Bush, although I do not agree with everything that he has done. I am not uneducated. I am not a racist. I do not place all Libs in one group and dislike them all for something that one person has done. I have my beliefs and I think that it is unfair for someone to judge me based on them.
EDIT: Yes, you are absolutely correct... I will support Bush because he is the President of the UNITED States of America, just as I supported Clinton when he de-moralized our country. The fact of the matter is, sir, if you can not see beyond your Liberal education, UNITED we stand, DIVIDED we fall. It is our duty, as well as yours, to keep our country united and strong.

I'm a fiscal conservative and a social liberal. The liberal viewpoint concerning abortion and homosexuality is that government should not legislate personal behavior if no one is being harmed, and that a fetus does not have equal rights to the woman. That being said, liberals aren't opposed to reasonable restrictions like no late term abortions unless the mother's life is at risk. I also agree with the conservative viewpoint that welfare needs to be reformed so that it is only temporary aid to able bodied persons.

"Republicans" don't always ask liberals silly questions.
"Republican trolls" do. It's the troll part that counts.
No matter what a person's political leanings may be, if his questions are irrational contrafactual attacks designed to engender anger then the person is a troll. Period. Best thing would be to just ignore him.

I'd like to take a moment to apologize to anyone who may have been offended by my previous remarks. That having been said, may I just say (in my best Red Foreman voice (That 70's Show)) Eric, you !#@$!#@$! Now that was a silly question. Just about any way we choose to answer this is going to be offensive.
