Wow! So just like that, almost 300 million people will convert in accordance to his wishes and become faithful followers.

Where did you get that? It never happened. In fact rarely they warn about an incoming attack.
If you're right, they're not responsible for 9/11 or the London and Madrid bombings. And none of the Iraq bombings or the far east bombings, etc, etc. They never extended a chance to convert to anyone.
You're talking about a complete different issue. Go back to you history book.

I admit it, I would not have guessed. Having studied the Qu'ran, chapter nine clearly instructs followers to not be deceived by those who claim conversion and to kill anyone who claims such conversion.
My thoughts? It's all in the timing. Just prior to a major election, they attack and in so doing, sway the panic stricken voters into voting the way they (the terrorists) would have you. We've seen it in Spain, Iraq and the Philippines.
For those paying attention, CNN Headline News reported the day after the November elections that the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq had commended the Americans for having voted in the Democrats.

Exactly right . In fact I just posted a question asking others if they knew what it meant when Al Qaeda 'asks' us to convert . I know the answer but I wanted to ask others in the interest of getting everyone up to date and on the same page .

Whoops . I forgot to say what you're right about . Al Qaeda 'asks' us to convert because it is their belief that it's OK to kill us after allowing us the opportunity to convert .

You don't "predict" it...
Its a Muslim thing... They're killing you (well, this is why they say they are) because you aren't Muslims as well. They HAVE to give you a chance to convert before they kill you.
