A group was given permission to start collecting signatures to qualify a measure for the June ballot. The proposed change would award 1 electoral college vote to the winner of each congressional district with the winner getting the other two votes (total electors is equal to the states number of representatives to the House plus it's two senators).

As with 47 other states (Maine and Nebraska being the exception), California awards all of it's electoral votes to the winner of the statewide election.

Had this been the law in 2004, 22 of the states 55 electoral votes would have gone to Bush with 33 going to Kerry (instead of Kerry getting all 55).

So, liberals, I'm confused. How much oil are we taking out of Iraq? As a person who works in the oil industry, I can tell you that the vast majority of American oil comes from from Canada, Northern Alaska, Venuzuala, The Gulf Coast, Mexico, and right here in the San Joaquin Valley (SJV Crude). When an individual is acting as power of attorney, do they need to provide copies of financial documents to other family members? For example, if someone is acting the POA for their sick mother (who is unable to make her own financial decisions), would the POA need to provide documents for the sick mother's other children?
If possible I would like to know the guidelines for a situation like this for the state of California. Also, if anyone has a good link that would have lots of POA info. I would be VERY grateful!

I heard that since it war time that every body in the military have to reenlist for four more years. I have a sister in the Airforce that i think had to reenlist to the military. I'm thinking of joining the military for four years and getting out. I'm 18 right now so I'll be 22 when i get out, unless this mandatory reenlistment is true then i'll be getting out at the age of 26, which would suck.

Come on. What does the queen do. When was the last time she decided something? I mean kings use to fight and be in charge of the army and were all the money went to. The offense was committed in 2003. I was fine $1,000 in year 2005. However my case was not really theft. But due to stress and anger make me to commit the crime. However the victim was at fault too to cause me to do this to him. My is not a theft intention. I only did it once in a folly. I wouldn't commit it again in the future. But i think its too late . How will i expect to explain to the companies for them to accept me. I believe certain countries like singapore its not legal to check one's criminal offence. So jobs industry like sales, admin, schools hotels, F & B should be able to find without telling them about one's past. Minus those doing projects with the government or sensitive. Cos criminal records checks is only available through government.
