For you veggies: suppose a human and a cow walked up to you together. The human is carrying both a hamburger and a gun. The human tells you that unless you eat this hamburger, the cow will be shot and killed.

I shall eat the hamburger,snatch the gun from that man and take the cow to my Ranch.To me, it's more important to protect a live cow than fuss over the dead one.
