Even for those of you that don't vote based on a single issue. I'm not looking for long answers but please be specific. For example, "national security" is a bit vague. It could mean the illegal immigration problem, the wars in Iraq/Afghanistan, or even global warming.

I don't think the "Ideal" Person is running for president, and there never may be ever again, It is diffiercult to pick any one issue! They are all important, we live in wreckage of the past
via neglect by both parties for too long a time. Simply put for is, "Charity begins at home " then reaches out ward. Industry
was America's strength, It was crushed by power and greed by both parties. And it still is crushed, The first issue is good
solid honest politicans in D.C. Get rid of high priced lobbists,
with out that nothing will change. Power and greed want a global world of slave labor. To clean up D.C. politics is our
only way to change. Will that ever happen, I don't have the answer. It seems like quick sand.

Stopping the slide. Yea, it's kinda vague but if you look at the the U.S. We were the go to people for everything, and we are not anymore. Used to be that if you needed something what ever it was, be it a education, technology, money, politcal power, military hardware, training for your armies, what have you, there was only one place to go, the US of A. Now though, we have lost our edge, our drive to be number one. We need a leader that can light a fire under us, to take us back to not only being the only superpower but being far and away ahead of everyone else in everything.

The new President should arrest Bush and Cheney and find them guilty for crimes against humanity! All of the assets from war profiteering for these men and their corporate cronies should be returned to the American people! That would be a great start!

A coherent strategy for solving our energy crisis would be kind of cool. That's 200 billion dollars a year we'd save by not having to import vast sums of oil from our fundamentalist friends in the Middle East.

Sending the troops home. It is actually a toss up between ending the War, and basic health system to insure every american. Stem Cell research is just as important. I can care less about illegal immigration, because no "white man" will do the Job of that of an illegal. Also ending the warrentless wire tapping into the phone lines.

A solution to Iraq,
if we stay we'll never leave and it'll slowly take a toll on American forces and American security
If we leave Iraq will be in chaos, and the world will be a more dangerous place

If a candidate has the answer I'd vote for them

I'm frankly just tired of the condescension and lies from our elected leaders. I want to vote for someone I can trust, and that will respect the constitution and my civil rights. Ron Paul is the only one I will vote for, even if I have to write in his name.
