what kind of fish breeds sort of easy but get somewhat big. i have some african cichlids but i believe they are all males. if i get some females would it be easy to breed them? i have somce convicts, they are very easy to breed. they pretty much do everything. i put the net up to protect them and they take it from there. are africans as easy as convicts? what other kind of fish is colorful, around these fish size, and not to hard to breed?

i started breeding guppies... that was wicked easy lol so then i got two convicts for my large tank along with my africans and the convicts just kept breeding. now they have children with them that are the same size as them.

thanks

My bottle of ich treatment tipped over and leaked in my cupboard and down my wall on my wall paper. Now I have blue streaks running down my wall. I tried using Mr. Clean but it only lightened it up a bit. Was wondering if anyone knew what else I could try to get the stains off of the wall paper without ruining it?

This is an add on to my last question. How to keep them alive? They r still alive. They r in a big bowl with pond water and lettuce. that is what my son is doing. lol i just hope to move them soon. It would be JUST HORRIABLE for him if they died. lol ( he is 8 ) so thanks to those who helped with the last question he apprecatied the answers.

I have a 50 gal tank, I have 50 pounds of live rock and 50 pounds of live sands in there for a month already. I just put 25 snails and 25 hermit crabs inside yesterday. they are all tank cleaners. I just did another ammonia test today, and it's about 0.8! what should i do? if I add Kent ammonia detox now, would that harm my tank cleaners?

I had 6 neons and i brought some more not long ago. After putting them in my tank i noticed that one of them was missing its side fin. I thought id put him in a seperation tank cause it looked like he was stuggling to swim with the filter going. I left him in there over night the next morning i woke up to find that he has no skin on him. Im not sure why? What happened and can my other fish catch it??

I have 5 potbellied Mollies 1 male 4 female in a 10 gallon tank. I just got them Saturday. The male is constantly chasing the females and nipping at them. Is this normal. Would adding another male potbellied mollie help? I was going to add my male betta to the tank, but these guys seem super nippy so I think I will leave him by himself. Any suggestions

Is undergravel filtration antiquated and not worth messing with? I have been told that it is a lot of trouble to clean and other devices will work better.

Can undergravel filtration be used with other devices(a power filter) and if so how effitive is it? Could undergravel filtration + power filter take the place of a good protein skimmer?

I want to have either an all fish(hawkfish + 1 or two other fishes) or fish + invertabrete(shrimp/goby and two other fish, maybe a butterfly or tang).

Within the past month I have setup a 30gallon freshwater aquarium. I added a school of Neon Tetras (7+ fish) and a school of Glolite Tetras (about 7 fish). Yesterday, after doing some reading, I decided to get some Zebra Danios, after hearing how hardy they are. So I get about 7-8 of them, and put them in the tank (after letting them float in the plastic bag to acclimate). I get up this morning to find two dead, and one in the process of dying (it's having like seizures and such). There is no nitrite, nitrate or ammonia present, and the pH is about 7.1- 7.2. Any ideas of why these supposedly great community fish are dropping dead?
