Hundreds of eggs are laid and survival depends on how your setup is and how good the parents are and whether they've bred before or not, but in a proper aquarium the controlled environment should lead to a high success rate. And no, Flowherhorns are not sterile just because they're hybrids - that's not how it works.

They lay lots of eggs,but none should hatch since they are hybrids, and should be sterile.
