You put the drops in as directed on the bottle and then just forget about it until you change some water and need more for the new water.

You always keep your water conditioner in even when you do water changes, also just for a tip, you will be cycling your tank for about 60 days, which means your tank will go through a cloudy phase, A bacteria bloom. This is a good thing not a bad thing, buy very cheap fish!!! During the cycling process you will have some fish die off, your ammonia, nitites, nitrates, and P.h. will all be high, until your aquarium has built enough good bacteria to support the amount of fish in your tank. If you leave your tank alone it will clear up on it's own, water changes can be done to try and keep your fish alive, but it only makes your cycling take longer. So leave the tank alone for 60 days and it will be perfect. Then come back to questions and ask how to clean it properly that way you don't upset the balance of your tank. P.S. Mark it on your calender when you started the tank, that way when 60 days are up you'll know it's time to ask about maintainance.

This depends on what your city's water service treats the water with and what the tap water conditioner treats.
Most cities use chlorine, which can be easily eliminated by letting the water sit, or "age" for a few days. Some cities are turning to chloramine because of its ability to stay in the water longer and work better. Tap water conditioner works pretty quickly. If you are adding directly to the tank, add half of the dose into the tank BEFORE filling it (if you are doing a water change), and half after. If you are filling it up from empty tank, you will need to add it after you fill it. I would do a leak test before you do so. You will still need to "cycle" your tank before you get any fish. A good tap water conditioner I recommend is Seachem Prime.

Tap water conditioner should be in there every time you do a water change as well. It keeps the water livable for fish.

What the conditioner does is that it removes the chlorine and other chemicals that might be in your drinking water.

Tap water conditioner comes as a liquid, so I don't understand how you could take it out.

A good rule of thumb when you change your water and add the water conditioner is to let it set for at least 12 -24 hrs. Personaly I would let it set for at least 24 hrs before putting your fish back in the tank. That will ensure your fish from dying on you.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't use tap water. The conditioner only removes clorien and not phosphates and other things that can make your tank go south really fast. My best advise if you don't want to buy a RO/DI system is to go to your local Walmart and buy their filtered water. It is like 25cents per gallon. THen you don't need the conditioner and you'll be VERY happy you did in the long run. IF you have already used tap water to cycle and setup the tank, then start doing your changes with the store filtered water.

Everytime you do a water change you should add some conditioner in. Once you put it in you forget about it.....

You just put the drops in and in a few seconds they will spread throughout the water there is no need to remove it unless it says so

,....make sure you cycle your aquarium

I say just let the water sit for 24 hours.

Less complicated.
