We have had quite a few fry born recently and we have now isolated the older males and put them into a different tank. We have 2 older fry (and about 40 younger ones - but that's a different story) and they are around 4 weeks old. We think one's starting to look like a male, but are unsure. When will/should we be moving male fry into the male tank?

The gourami grows up to 2 '' and needs a minimum tank of 5 gal. Will a male dwarf gourami get along with a Chinese Algae Eater (8cm) in a 5.5 gallon tank?

I have a dalmation Molly that's been pregnant for a while now and she still hasnt given birth. She was in the tank by herself for a while because I lost the other Molly I had with her. I recently bought some new tank mates for her and she was doing alright with them. Yet she still hasnt given birth. Is she too stressed now? None of the other fish ever bothered her or chased her. Then I noticed today that she's been acting really weird.

Here are two videos of her:

I have 9 neon tetra in an 80 litre aquarium. What do you suggest I add next? The tank has live plant and some rocks and it's been up and running for nearly 2 weeks.

I just wanted to make sure that this wasn't too much fish for this aquarium. If it is too much is there anything I can do besides take the fish out to help them cope? Thanks a bunch!!

My anniversery is coming up next month and my husband wants an aquarium with dragonfish (he's dead serious about it; he's been reading up on basic aquarium care), so I plan to surprise him with an aquarium, basic supplies, and a gift card for the fish he wants. The only problem is, I don't know what the best food for a dragonfish is. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys im looking for some advice on my tropcical tank as to what fish to get and should i get rid of two fish who tend to be bullies.Details of my tank below.Basically i have had these fish for a number of years now and i want to add new fish.the last two times i have added new fish they have been harassed and eventually killed by that three spot gourami and the krib.the most recent fish i got was a Pleco Plecostomus sucker fish. a problem . it barely lasted a day as the krib constantly nipped at it until it eventually died.

Here is the details of my tank,
3 x Neon Tetra
1 x Yellow three spot gourami
3 x Serpae tetra
1 x Krib (Pelvicachromis pulcher)

Hagen Tropiquarium 88
Aquarium: 85 cm x 37 cm x 48.5 cm
Capacity: 130 L (34.33 U.S. gal)
Flourescent lights timed 5 hours a day
Water:
Temp ~26 celsius
ph: ~6 ,soft
Filter:
Internal Fluval 4 plus on low flow

Basically i would like some advice on my tank as i would like new fish as my tank is a bit empty.. Thanks!

So you guys helped me out alot, I really appericated that. Now, to answer some of your questions. I put the following in the tank last night: GOLDFISH BOWL CONDITIONER - Instantly removes chlorine and chloramines. Neutralizes toxic ammonia. Detoxiflies heavy metals. On the back on the bottle says to put approx. 1 capful (treats 2 U.S gallons)

Then I put in this also - STRESS COAT - fish and tap water conditioner. Replaces slime coat. Reduces electrolyte loss. Promotes tissue regeneration. Removes chlorine and neutralizes chloramines.

I hope this is the right thing to do. This is what the guy at the store told me to do. I need your help people!!

Hi, my eel died a couple of weeks ago, and it was very weird to me because one afternoon, just a couple hours after feeding it, I found it on the floor all dried up. There was other fish in the tank, but not as mean as him. The aquariams lid was closed! Do we have an detective here?
