I have a freshwater fish (not a betta or goldfish) I am not really sure what kind of fish but he lives in a 25 gallon tank w/ a few other kind of fish and he is the only one that is flipping upside down and swimming sideways. I noticed about a month ago that he lost one of his eyes...now i dont think that has to do w/ his unusual behavior but im not sure...and about 2 weeks ago he started his unusual swimming. He got better for a few days but now I think hes worst than he was before. I thought it might have been swim bladder disease but he does not have a swollen tummy. I would really appreciate if someone could help me cuz I really dont want him to die :( Thanks!

I want to get rid all of the spots on my face I feel I me look ugly all the time when I am going out. I would be grateful to anyone who has the cure to this by giving me a list of products, creams anything what so ever which works to create a beautiful clean face with no spots at all as some of the models on the adverts but without make-up off course.

I have a 29 gallon tank thats already part brackish. I was wondering if the hermits ABSOLUTELY needed 100% saltwater. I have land hermies and I love them. I saw the aquatics and I was in love lol.

I have always wanted to turn my tank into a brackish tank, and I was wondering if this would be suiting to the hermies. :) I love those little guys.

(fish in tank- guppies. Lots of babies too lol, an upside down catfish, and a pleco. and an infestation of snails....)

I think something is VERY wrong with my female betta, first, i tried to breed my bettas in a bowl(the male one blew a bublenest) but it didn't work. later that day, my female betta just suddenly relaseing eggs, every 5-10 minutes or so! And then, She JUST EATS THEM! I tried to save some of the eggs by putting them in the male's buble nest, but the male too eats them. WHY IS MY FEMALE BETTA DOING THAT!

Have you had success with a particular make / model of 40 Watt / 48 Inch / T-12 / F40 Bulb? Its about time to replace mine, and I'd like to find something better. I have 2 open slots.

My setup is kinda weird. Its been built up over time. I have 2 T40 bulbs in one standard aquarium hood. In my other hood, I have 2 current usa 32 watt compact flourescent retrofits & a dual incandescent socket with 2 25 watt CF screw in bulbs.

I have a male betta that I have had for almost 4 months now. He is in about a 2 gallon tank at the moment, and seems to be very content (he is constantly building elaborate bubble nests). Lately I have been considering moving him to a 5 gallon tank and adding a couple of Cory Catfish in with him. I have read that this shouldn't be much of a problem, as the catfish are bottom dwellers and the betta shouldn't pay much attention to them; however, my concern is that my betta does enjoy spending time along the bottom of the tank, swimming and even "resting". Do you think that he would still be fine with the catfish? Thanks in advance!

I know that one person has a question like this, but heck, I might get different answers. Im not a complete newbie at bettas, my blue betta bowman is probablly almost a year old. He's not the most active betta anyhow, but recently he's been off his food. He's starting to swim a bit more, but the food from last night hasn't been touched. I feed him once a day 5-6 pellets. His water is warm and cleaned once a week. He's in a one gallon bowl (it's ok, he can't jumped out) that he was recently moved to. Any ideas as to what might be hapenning? It's not swim-bladder and he doesnt look sick so... I dunno, please help me!

I bought a betta today, and I have him in a vase type thing with the roots of a plant going into the water from the opening. I was wondering with the plant in there, how often should I really feed him of his actual betta food?

I have 2 guppy mothers. Between them, I have something like 60 babies born within three months! However, I notice all the babies look the same; even the babies which are now nearing adulthood. I see very little difference in appearance between them and their mothers, whether the fry is/are male or female--- they all look like their mother!

He started off on the bottom of the tank face first with his fins up behind him. Now he is on his side and can't turn over. He keeps moving his fins trying to get up, but can't. I can't see any parasites on him or diseases of any sort. I read about swim bladder disorder, but that area doesn't seem to be enlarged like it should be if that is the problem. Please help! I lost another one a few weeks ago already. I've only had this one for about 6 months. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong & I really want to help him live!! : (

I have a got tropical fish not marine, i have just noticed about 50 snails, i think they are snails. long, light brown cones with little brown spots, they range from 3mm to 1 cm in length. They are alive because they are moving and i can see there heads popping out. It looks like they are coming up from below my gravel. They have all appeared together or i have not noticed them before, i check my tank everyday and have never seen them before. Will they damage my fish, what are they, where did they come from, should i remove them?

We have had a betta living with our algae eater for about 2 weeks now. The last couple of days the Betta has seemed to actually push itself under the algae eater (it's a long one that kind of looks like an eel) and remains there. It's very weird- is that normal? It stays under him a few minutes and then swims to top...sometimes they don't bother with eachother at all.

I have a blue gourami and a sucker fish in my fish tank. The blue gourami looks like it's pregnant. Could this be possible? They are the only fish in the tank, and have been for over 2 years.
