Help! 2 of my goldfish (commons) and seriously gettin aggresive towards one of my smaller fish (fantail) .... theyve been living together for quite a while now in an 80 litre tank and only suddenly last night and this morning have the two commons been chasing the fantail very very fast and nipping the the side of its body and belly. They keep almost pushing it so close to the surface theres splashing. The fantail has been cornered several times in just half and hour.

Are they trying to kill it?

i have 2 other fan tails in the tank too- so why just this one?

help! i dont want my goldfish going belly up!

About a year ago we bought two everyday run of the mill goldfish. They were in a fairly small tank to begin with and one of them started really growing . We decided to get a bigger tank which we did and now the one that is growing is huge but the other one hasn't grown at all as far as we can tell. We have now added to black goldfish and they stay about the same size but the one is still growing. We started calling him porky lol. What would make one fish grow so big and the other one not change at all.

My Marigold is about 1.75 to 2 inches long with tail included. I've had him for a few months now and the only negative comment I have to make about my boy is his tail: or near lack thereof.

He's an adult (not fully grown yet i dont think) Marigold swordtail but his sword, at max, is about 5 millimeters long. For about a month after I got him I had him in a ten gl tank with two other marigold females and he quickly got down to 'business' so im assuming he's healthy. (Hes now in a 25 gl with the two females and another male) His tail HAS shown some growth since his purchase but its still absolutely puny. Any possible reasons?

Ps. The other male Marigolds tail is about two millimeters larger but he's a bit larger too.

I recently got three guppies and I've had them for a week now. Tonight, in one of the smaller guppies I noticed that it was down at the bottom of the tank and just stayed there. I put some food in the tank and it came up, but right after it went back down. I'm pretty sure it's sick, but I want to make sure. Help?

I bought my betta 3 weeks ago, 2 or 3 days ago i bought 6 tetra, there not neon tetra, 3 are like white and kind of big for a tetra, the other 3 are orange and the same size. My bettas fins are looking kinda broken. I dont know what to do because i dont ahve another tank or a heater to put him in. The 6 tetras always stay on his side and seem to be like trying to attack him for the past 2 days. anytime one of them gets less than an inch away, he runs like crazy. its a 10 gallon tank with a castle for him to hide in, which he does now. what should i do?

Today I got seven baby mystery snails and I'm keeping them in a 10-gallon aquarium. I gave them a couple small pieces of turnip greens to eat by putting them at the bottom with a few pieces of gravel on top to hold them down. These snails are pretty small (less than an inch in diameter), and none of them have found the food. They've been without food since Thursday because they were shipped to me through the mail and I just received them today, and I'm worried that they might starve before they find the food. They're so little and have so much space to cover, and most of them don't stay on the bottom; they're crawling up the plants and sides of the aquarium.
My other questoin is, two of the snails crawled to the top of the water and have been sitting there for hours. Are they up there breathing because the water's not clean enough? I'm using a 10-gallon filter.

I just recently read on one of my answers for a question that a 5 gallon is "way too big" for one male betta. I also have 2 male bettas that each have a 10 gallon. The 10 gallon tanks each have a heater that keeps the water around 76-80 degrees, a small box filter, 3 silk plants, 2 small hideouts, and gravel. The 5 gallon has a heater that keeps the temp around 82 degrees, an undergravel filter, 3 small silk plants, 1 small hideout, and natural colored fish gravel. The bettas have dechlored water that is tested weekly for ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, hardness, alkalinty, and ph and are fed freeze dried bloodworms. Also, I have a female betta in a 29 gallon community tank. Temp around 80 F, filter, bubbler, 3 hideouts and a bunch of plants. She seems happy. Are these environments ok for the bettas?????????/
