I would like to know which puffers are easily found in local fish stores?

depends if you want fresh water or marine puffers.
fresh water puffers like mbu green puffers figer 8 puffers and pygme puffers are common in shops
marine puffers like dog face porcipine black saddle puffers
then there box fish all the same family are quite easy to get hold of ive brought all these from local shops i think there great fish to keep and got lots of character

The three main puffers you are going to find are Porcupine puffers (cute with big blue eyes) dogfaced puffers and box puffers. Usually all run from $25.00-$45.00 depending on where you live. However a good fish store will order you what ever you want.

For the freshwater- Figure 8 and Green Spotted dwarf puffers are the most common puffers in pet stores. For saltwater- Dog face and Porcupine puffers are the most common.

Indian dwarf puffers 1" and target puffers 6" are the freshwater ones that are common

When I worked at Petco I always tried to keep Dog Face Puffers and Spiney Puffer fish in stock. I love em. They always had so much personality!

I've seen really tiny puffers called Dwaf Pufferfish, I believe. They are fairly common and can probably be found at your local pet shop. I haven't had any experience with them since I have never owned one but they do look pretty neat.

For me it's common puffers and figure 8 puffers that are most common for brackish water.

I see them for salt water but have never checked to see what species.
