If you are asking, "will fish eat bread?" Then the answer is yes, they will eat it. If your question is, "is it good to feed fish bread?" Then, the answer is no. There is no nutritional value in bread. Humans shouldn't even eat bread. At least not that much. Fish are omnivores, which means that they need to eat protein in the form of krill, brine shrimp, blood worms, tubifex, etc., and some veggies and fruits. Carbohydrates are not part of this diet. Humans are also omnivores. Imagine yourself only eating bread. Yeah, you'd survive, but eventually, you'd get very sick and malnourished.

Venice girl is pretty close to right. She hit everything except the fact that there is significant nutritional value in bread for both humans and fish. Mos fish that is. Strict carnivore fishes can't digest it, but most others can. That said she is very right that it's not a major part of a healthy fish diet. It should in my opinion be avoided.
Not to mention the fact that it breaks down to mush very fast and will foul the water pretty quickly

as a treat or a novelty, but it doesn't have any nutritional value to them. I feed my oscars turkey or beef every now and then just for the coolness of it.
So if they'll eat it, go for it. But I wouldn't make it a mainstay in their diet! Ã

People do it all the time in parks and mountains, etc.
But less smart fish (goldfish) may "inflate" and die from eating too much- it expands in the body ya know.
