My mother-in-law's dog is over 16 years old(a pekingnese) and lately she has had multiple problems such as seeming nervous and/or anxious and not being able to relax. She has had skin problems her whole life and has received certain medication on and off for that plus cortizone shots.
I love dogs but not especially this one. I can't help but feel sorry for the dog because she seems to be suffering from this apparent anxiety/nervousness that she never had before. Isn't there anything that can be done? I am not crazy about suggestions such as drugging her up with more medication. Any ideas? And only answers from people who care about dogs, not from moronic people.

i have a mongrel puppy who we think might be GSD mix.
he is now about 6-7 months old. when we found him he was about 3-4months old. we had him neutered pretty much right after we got him as he was quite agressive and there is no need to keep him intact as we don't want to breed him. but now i was thinking did he clip him too early as he doesn't lift his leg. my poodle mix is 5-6 months old and he is already lifting his leg but he is not neutered yet as he is just getting over an infection. will my neutered mongrel ever lift his leg with age or will he "do it the puppy" way forever?
thanks

For example:Savage kid yanks on tail, pokes at eyes and tries to ride the poor dog....Stupid parent just stands there and thinks it is so cute.
All of a sudden the no brains parent is shocked that the poor dog defended it's self.
People like this should be sterilized....IMMEDIATELY
I would never sell my dog out too Euthanasia ...like some do.

he isn't fat in my opinion, gets lots of exercise and eats well..
i didn't take him for a health check but a booster jab.
He's a labrador retriever and stockily built, as his build should be...
Should i take the vets advice and put the poor animal on a diet when he's as fit as a fiddle?

My neice is coming for a few years while her dad, my brother is in jail. She has an extremely aggressive dog she is bringing with her. He attacked my youngest puppy twice already, my pup is only a month old. My largest dog has always been able to defend my young dogs, but hes getting old and not as strong. I'm afriad her dog will attack him too. What if I'm not home, or sleeping? He could attack any of my dogs... and my family! What do I do!?

Ok my dog at my grandparents house (Yellow Lab), I think has mange. It's winter here and can we give her something to cure it, cause we can't give her a bath. She is too big 4 the house. She isn't abused or anything, she just goes under the back porch, to get warm in winter or cool in summer, and its rubs off. What can we do!! HELP please!

She used to go in it when it rained, but for the past couple of days, she has just stood out in the pouring rain. I hate for people driving by to think that I mistreat her, but living so close to the road we have no chance but to keep our animals tied up.
Anyone help me here??

My schnauzer is 3 years old and weighs 22 pounds. He ate a whole pack of gum with xylotol in it, and we took him to the vet. The vet said he was fine, and I was relieved. What I'm wondering is, do chocolate, grapes, artificial sweetners, and ect. affect different dogs differently? Because I read countless articials on how xylotol can kill a dog, but the vet said my dog is perfectely fine.
