Hello, I have a problem with my 3 month and a week old Golden Retriever. When we first got him when he was 2 months old, we used to keep him in the house in a caged out place in the living room. we used to let him out every 3-4 hours because I read from somewhere that it is advisable to do so. Now, when he became 3 months old, we made a cage outside on the patio with a dogloo house for him. We let him out of the caged area to play with him, and to let him use the bathroom everyday in the grass area around 5:30AM, 9AM, 12:30PM, 4PM, 6:30PM, 9PM, 12AM. But he manages to make a mess in his caged area all the time, and it's been hard to clean up after him everyday, somtimes several times a day! What can I do? HELP PLEASE

I have a dog I got from a rescue back in November, the last couple of months she has been jumping my 6 ft high wood fence and getting out. I dont know what to do to make her stop doing this. I am terrified she is going to get hurt or killed as I live pretty close to a major road. Is there anything I can do except give her away??

Hi, I currently have a small 1 year old maltese puppy and am planning to add a new maltese-poodle mix puppy to the family in a few months. However, I've heard so much about two female puppies not getting along etc. Is this true? Anyone have experience with two females of this breed? Our Maltese is very friendly, never barks, and is geniunely scared of anything that moves. Furthermore, my sister in law has a female maltese-yorkie mix, about the same age, who she gets along with very well.

Additionally any rules/ideas to follow when introducing the new puppy. i.e. the maltese now has the entire first floor when we are away from the house. Should I still crate train the new puppy? Is there any problem with leaving them alone together after a few months? Any resources available on this?

Thanks!

I have a 3 year old toy poodle who is not spayed.
For the past few days she has been driving us crazy, whining and whinging and pretending her stuffed toys are her 'puppies'.
She is constantly whinging and whining with the toy in her mouth and scratching (nesting).
What can we do to calm her down in this false pregnancy to help her cope? It's been the second day she's done this and already we are stressing out! She just won't stop!
HELP!!!

hi, i have 5 dogs, but 2 of them are boys, they used to be fine together, but recently troy (the younger dog) has been beating up tazz (the older dog). tazz may be older but he is smaller than troy, so recently troy has been beating up tazz and attacking him at every chance he has, all tazz has to do is walk into the room and troy jumps on him and attacks him. i dont know what to do, my mum doesnt want to newter troy cos hes like her stud dog, and tazz is already newterd. im not getting rid of any of them, so does anyone have any advice?

Puppy hurt his paw in a fight. He can't/won't stand on it. He's housebroken and absolutely won't go #1. I've tried holding him in a standing position but he wants to do it himself.

How many times should I take her for a walk? I usually take her out twice a day for about half an hour, but I'm not sure that it's enough... when she was a pup I've walked her more. She've also gained weight, how do I get her to exercice? I used to take her with me when I'd run 5k but while I was running she was either eating garbage or attacking dogs, so I stopped taking her. They've built a few playgrounds for dogs near my house so I started taking her there which is nice, but she gets bored.

She ate some of her dog's food, in order to get her doggie to eat it, and it turns out it was one of the tainted pet foods on the recall list. Naturally, she and her dog got very sick.

What is chicken meal?
corn gluten meal?
dehydrated alfalfa meal?
salmon meal?
Is this meal stuff anything like by-products?

This stuff doesn't sound like anything I would want to eat, therefore I won't feed it to my dog.

Why do people come to this site asking questions about their dog(s)? Answer: because they care about their pets and truly want to know about other people's opinions, no matter how big or small. I think if you see a question of interest, then answer it with respect and diplomacy. Otherwise, don't answer at all and simply pass. This site is for information after all right?
