It is sad when people have to be so rude and not even try to help someone with a problem.. There are a few here that are just downright mean and rude and don't want to be any other way. There are a few of us nice folks mixed in too who are here to help.

While I agree with most of the thoughts written in response to your question, I do feel that most times, the arrogance is in the delivery of the answer, and not the content. I have always been taught to treat others the way that I would want to be treated, and thus, if I posed a question here, I wouldn't want to get an answer that is basically insinuating that I am an idiot for even asking it.
But, in saying that, I have read many questions that make absolutely no sense to be asked whatsoever. Additionally, the grammar and spelling, (not that mine is great, but I do make an effort) need to be taken into consideration when asking a question. If one cannot take the time to pose a question in a manner that makes sense, worded correctly (unless language is a genuine barrier, and not because one is lazy), then one should expect to get in-kind answers: arrogant, annoyed, frustrated, etc.
Just my 2 cents.

Some questions show such a total lack of any sort of real understanding of a pet that the person shouldn't have the poor animal at all. You also see these questions repeated(by the same person) because they didn't get the answer they wanted. If you want an error validated just keep asking the question until you find someone as uninformed as yourself. Most of the regular answerer's really care about their subject, and it's painful to see how pets will be mistreated by people who should have asked their questions before inflicting poor care on a helpless beast. For just about every commercially available pet one can find a small inexpensive book that will explain the basic of care for a given pet. It is stupid and cruel to acquire a pet without researching it's care.-----Sorry about the rant, but it's true.------PeeTee

Yeah, they truly care about their pets by asking non-certified strangers for the well being of their pets. Yup, that's love. That's the equivalent of getting herpes and asking a priest to baptize you in holy water so it'll go away. Yeah, that's going to work.
Here's a thought though, if someone's wasting their time waiting for a "good" response on this message board, then they truly don't care, they're trying to save money. In which case, why would you have a pet? No, sunshine, you can't apply for welfare if you just have a dog to support.
But, you know what else pisses me off? I'm arrogant because I'm telling people that their pet requires PROFESSIONAL medical attention; and you're making an "educated" guess as to what it is and what needs to be done, so you're the hero? What kind of retarded math are you doing?
Imagine this: a person writes, "my 2 year old cat hasn't urinated for the past couple of days, his water intake is low, should i be concerned?" You, the hero, reply, "No, if he isn't drinking much, he won't be urinating much. He'll be fine." The truth of the matter is, anyone who is simply asking for help instead of getting help, they want to believe everything's going to be okay and they're going to make it sound like there's nothing wrong because that's what they want to believe. Anything could possibly be an emergency. Saying ALL that to say this, I'm not arrogant, I'm logical. I CARE ABOUT ANIMALS AND NOT PEOPLE'S FEELINGS. Screw you if you're offended because you're stupid. Don't ask dumb a ss questions and I won't give you smart a ss answers.

It's just like the rest of life - everyone handles every situation differently. The people who come here looking for information usually get a good bit of advice, along with some BS. They can take what is useful to them and leave the rest. I don't think it's worth taking it personally.

You are right, but honestly the amount of people who simply don't do their research and don't listen to professionals are astounding. It boggles the mind.
There are loads of sources of information, and on here I've seen people give misleading information just for the joke, a professional would not do that as their reputation is at stake. There's an internet full of information out there, people need to look at it.

Some people come here with questions that they should know the answers to before things are done. Especially with breeding. If a person breeds a dog, they should research the breed, bloodlines, show the dog in some sport or conformation, get the appropriate health testing done on the dog before breeding. It is terrible to see people asking questions, like "I think my dog is about to give birth in her dog house!" Of course we get upset when we see these crazy questions!

Right! But there are some on this site who are here just to do what your talking about and it makes it very difficult to distinguish who is real and who is not. So its a judgment call for all.

I do accept as true with the "cuz" and the "u" and that i could additionally prefer to function "da" in decision to the. severe questions do deserve a severe answer, yet possibilities are high, you will no longer get that for the time of P&S.
