How many times should I take her for a walk? I usually take her out twice a day for about half an hour, but I'm not sure that it's enough... when she was a pup I've walked her more. She've also gained weight, how do I get her to exercice? I used to take her with me when I'd run 5k but while I was running she was either eating garbage or attacking dogs, so I stopped taking her. They've built a few playgrounds for dogs near my house so I started taking her there which is nice, but she gets bored.

A lot of times aggression comes with bordom. I know you love your dog, but maybe living in an apartment with you working all day isn't enough for him. She needs to be excercised regularly and and her mind stimulated in a positive way. Try doing hide and seek in the house with treats. Make the mind work for things and see what happens with the aggression. Do mind games with her first before taking her out for walks so she is mentally tired and that may help with the aggression. Also seek the help of a professional trainer. Find one that uses positive training methods not the old fashioned dominate type of training. Trying to dominate an aggressive dog can make it worse if you don't know what you're doing and do not know how to read your dogs body language very well and very fast. You need to know what your dogs body is saying the second it happens or you won't be able to control it.

honestly, I would suggest maybe finding a better home for your dog. Chances are, if you work full time, you do not have enough time to take your dog out when she needs to be. Large dogs need lots of room to run and play, and basically just waste energy. Especially German Shepherds. They are such smart dogs, they need something to keep their minds busy all the time. If you take her with you while you run, you might be able to keep her in the small apartment, but if not, eventually, she'll begin to tear things up, simply because she is bored. I would suggest, if you are going to keep her in a small apartment, taking her out 3-5 time a day. There are ways that she can still be taken out, like, you can hire a dog walker, or even a dog sitter.

A dog needs to get out more than twice a day.

Also all dogs need to have time to freely run and play.

I live in an apartment and I walk my dog in the morning. Then I let him out in early aftrernoon. And around 6pm I take him to a dog part which is a wonderful place for him to play and run with other dogs. It is wonderful.

It sounds like you need to give the dog more attention.

I have a few German Shepherds, too. I walk mine with choker chains. If she's getting into something, pull her away. The tightness around her neck should get her back to walking with you.
