What is chicken meal?
corn gluten meal?
dehydrated alfalfa meal?
salmon meal?
Is this meal stuff anything like by-products?

This stuff doesn't sound like anything I would want to eat, therefore I won't feed it to my dog.

The listed ingredients are all in Royal Canin.
Innova, Merrick and Blue Buffalo all contain garlic.
Canidae has Dried Enterococcus Faecium, Dried Lactobacillus Acidophilus Fermentation Product, Dried Aspergillus Oryzae Fermentation Extract, Dried Bacillus Subtilis Fermentation Extract...WTF is that??

What are they trying to get us to feed to our companions?

Sherri...Why would I want to feed my dog that stuff? There are 5 different kids of meals in there not to mention GARLIC.
That is just the kind of things I do not want to feed my little furbaby!

Meal is any food that has been dehydrated and ground into a fine powdery type substance...and yes, meal often contains by-products.

Out of the 3, the chicken meal isn't bad as it does state the specific meat. The other 2 are pretty much useless fillers.

A food with a specific meat meal can still make the high quality list. If the food just says meat meal, then no it wouldn't make the list. Something that says chicken by-products also wouldn't make the list.

Just to make something clear....it is not rat poison. Recalled pet foods contained a chemical used to make plastics, but government tests failed to confirm the presence of rat poison. The Food and Drug Administration said it found melamine in samples of the Menu Foods pet food, as well as in wheat gluten used as an ingredient in the wet-style products.

In my opinion meal is bad, by-products are bad. but if your dogs are healthy eating the food then it is fine.

Not all foods containing those have rat poison in them, those were all on the recall list which can easily be found.

Di dont give this **** to your dog, I go the dollar store or when on sale walmart and buy the cheapest canned beef stew and that what my dog eats. Its ridiculus and disgusting what they feed to dogs. I love my dog and a bit of $$ is nothing.
