Okay, there is this really great breed that I want. It's kind of rare and it is not recognized by the AKC. It is called a Stabyhoun (pronounced sta-bay-hoon). It has everything I am looking for in a breed. It has an excellent temperament, good with children and other animals. It also has good health, and , I think, it is a very good looking breed. I found it at www.dogbreedinfo.com

If i were to get another dog, the breed I'd choose would be another rottweiler. My husband wanted a rott ever since we were married. I told him I'd never have one near my house, due to their bad rep. Boy was I wrong about that!

I wound up with a rottie pup by accident, when my friend's mother dog was run over when her 8 pups were just two days old. I offerred to help him raise 2 of them, then return them both to him at 3-4 weeks old. I became attached to one of them in particular, and my friend let me keep him.

He just died in February, at the age of 6 and I would really love to have another rottie someday. My rott was the most loyal, noble and lovable pet I've ever owned. Very protective around the kids, he never nipped or bit anyone. It was like having a live 106 lb. teddy bear to cuddle with.

I kinda like beagles. They remind me of Snoopy in Charlie Brown. I also like Basset Hounds(kind of a short beagle). Also, Captain Archer on Star Trek Enterprise had a Beagle, named Porthos. However, sadly, I may never have another dog. The last dog I had was a collie/german sheppard mix and when he died while I was away at college I was devistated. I don't think I could bear to bury another dog. I loved Remus so much.

Dogs are the species. You want to know what breed. I'd love a short haired wheaten terrier.

i rescue all my dogs from shelters, but I don't keep them. I give them to homes after they are people friendly and trained. I have a Labordoodle that I adopted and fell in love with and never was able to get rid of him.

whatever was available had been at the shelter the longest in need of a good home. BUT if some one was giving away free puppies I'd take a pomeranian- so cute! my husband would prefer a german shepard.
