HI
Take her in the house and crate her, I had this problem get a dog kennel from Lowes the 12 by 12 and put a roof on it and pen her when you can't watch her She will get hit another suggestion is to have her in the house but chain her to go potty but don't leave her on the chain they make dogs like that even worse.

My friend, a professional dog trainer, had this problem. She bought a kit that electrifies the top of the fence. It just gives a zap, it isn't dangerous or cruel. You string the wire along wherever you don't want the dog to go. She said that after one zap, the dog never tried again! She also said that she had wired the entire fence, even though the dog had only jumped over one spot; and the dog never tried any other spot. My friend could have saved some trouble by only wiring the dog's regular escape route.
Another alternative is, you could get the dog her own enclosure.
There are other ways of dealing with this also. If you're not sure you've found a solution here, go to a pet store that also has obedience classes, and ask. They should have some more ideas.

Buy a kennel with a cement floor, so she can't dig her way out, and some sort of roof so she can't jump. Or you can tie her out on a shorter chain and when she tries to jump the fence, she will be stopped by the chain and hopefully she will realize it hurts and she won't want to do it again.

Yes. Don't let her out in the yard without supervision. It is impossible to stop this behavior if she's unsupervised - she'll just get better at it.
Practice your recall with your dog when you're in the yard. You can do a lot with training, and prevent disasters in the future. A little effort on your part now will go a long way!

Go to Lowes or Home Depot and get some 'Stay away' powder - it's used to keep animals out of gardens, but in your case, sprinkle about a 2 to 3 foot section at the base of your fence - this may deter him from getting to close to the fence to get out.
I had a dog that would climb out of his fence, one day he got caught and ripped a huge hole in his underbelly - it was awful!
GOOD LUCK!

Hey I have the same problem, first is it neutered or spayed. That helps then there are shock collars, invisible fences, and if all else fails and you want to keep the dog then a tether when out doors unattended and or always be out there with the pup. Its so frustrating when they insist on doing it and it takes a long time to break them of it. Got to train and train and train. Good luck.

it sounds cruel but its not get a shock collar set it on a low volume use it until your dog knows where he can and cant go it really is humane i have used it and tested it on myself first they work and may save your dogs life and keep you from having to give it away if you have questions about its use call a vet and ask them some questions good luck

There is a reason some dogs are in shelters. You have just found out why your dog was. Leave her inside the house when you arent there to watch her.
