Did this happen soon after eating? a portosystemic shunt can cause this.
Your puppy might have been born w a heart abnormality that can also cause this.
Low blood sugar may be another possibility.
There are many things that can cause a puppy to pass out and then recover, is something you should mention to your vet as soon as you take him there to have his shots, if not sooner..... is impossible to tell on a bulletin board like this.

A 5-week old pit bull is way too young to be away from its mother. No puppy should be taken from its mother before 8 weeks old minimum. He may be suffering the consequences of this early separation. You need to see a vet to learn how to care for such a very young puppy - he has very special needs right now until he is bigger, more a mature body and has had his vaccinations.

Take him to the vet, and let the doc know what happened. Your pup may have epilepsy. My mom had a dog with epilepsy, and she had seizures fairly regularly. Could be any number of things, so take him to the vet!
Five weeks is not too young for the pup to be away from its mother and litter. Most dogs usually wean their pups anywhere from 4-6 weeks. He may have some separation anxiety, but I doubt the separation is what's making him SICK. Just be sure he gets a nutritious diet of a quality, moistened puppy chow, and take him to the vet ASAP.

Go to the local animal hospital, he may have a heart clog or something. My dog recently did that he is a 13 yr old pomeranian (he looks like a little bear lol)
anyway... we took him to the animal hospital cause he passed out than walked than sort of went into shock... the animal hospital helped... You can never be too sure. Best seek professional help.

If you COLLAPSED and then went into shock . . . the first thing you'd do is get on a message board and hopefully find a doctor waiting for your STUPID question to post. Yup genius.
How about you take it to the doctor like any normal person since you seem to know so much.
P.S. There is a spell check, smarty pants.

Sound like he just had a seizer. May have a brain tumor. Take him to the vet, the seizer wont kill the dog, nor the dog does not feel, nor remember it, but its very scary to be around the dog, poor baby. More likely the vet will put him on a permanent pills that can prevent the future seizer. But I am not a vet, please take him to a vet. Good luck.

First, he should still be with his mother. He is far too young to be away from his litter. Second, who knows what is wrong with him? He needs to see a vet!

Low blood sugar, probably. Puppies are prone to it.
