Puppy hurt his paw in a fight. He can't/won't stand on it. He's housebroken and absolutely won't go #1. I've tried holding him in a standing position but he wants to do it himself.

His paw is hurt, he won't stand, and he won't pee.

If your puppy was in a fight, he may have internal injuries to his bladder or urethra or something that are preventing him from urinating.

He will have to go when he can't hold it, and that won't be very long trust me. Maybe you should see a vet in case he broke a bone. Otherwise it will get better in a few days by itself and you don't need to do anything special.

VERY few dogs can not stand on three legs so if one paw is hurt why can he not stand?

You mean wee, or pee, or urinate, I take it. If he can't stand to pee, how much pain do you imagine he is in? How do you know his paw isn't infected or fractured? Are you a qualified vet? If not, please get him to one straightaway.

Naturally, he'll be able to do it on its own, even with his broken paw.
Or maybe not because of its at its "child" stage.
