He ate one of the bad dog foods and now he is sick i hope he doesn't die what should i do?? he keeps throwing up

My dog is a Chihuahua Dauschound mix i've had him about 3 years. The weird thing about these little spells he gets is that after a few minutes he gets back up staggers for a second and then he is fine. I don't know what is causing him to do this and if anyone has any clue what it might be your help would be much appreaciated.

I am thinking about getting a yorkshire terrier really soon and just wanted to know more info about them.. Are they good dogs? Healthy dogs? I know they need alot of attention. What else? Major downfalls.... ? Benefits?

We just bought a Weimaraner puppy, she's 3 months old and when she's sleeping, or starting to fall asleep she shiver pretty intensely. We're not sure if this is normal for puppies or not.

I have heard that a dog should have yougurt and that its good for 'em. And also I've heard that it is NOT good for 'em. Which one is correct? Is it good for dogs? Or not? And should I feed my dog it since she is so skinny and you can feel her spine very well? Please answer!

I have a 1 year old girl red nose pit and one of her pups both of them bark and act crazy if i try to take them take them for walks or if the neighbors dogs or people walk by. they both are very spoiled. I love them to death! Once they get to know like friends for example they r the sweetest dogs but if they dont know u they act mean. They have never bit anyone or anything like that. But i know they scare poeple and other animals when they act like that. I cant afford dog training classes for them right now. And, it upsets me when i met other full blooded pits and they are so freindly but, mine aren't to new people and animals. Please give me somes tips on training them be nicer to others.

plz help it is too late to go to the vet, he wont open his eye. well first off he is really old like 15, he has severe cataracts, and he wont open his eye after he got hit there, this happened like 10 min ago. i opened his eye and saw a small redspot. is this really bad or will it heal naturally, i feel really bad :( also what can we do to help his cataracts? plz help fast!!

i have adopted a dog from a dogs home, its a white staffordshire bull, its only 15 months old, the kennel workers told me that the my dog was beatin by there last owners i think, but at the kennels he was happy to see me so i adopted him, but now he has become very shy and always thinks i'm going to hit him, which i have never done, i have had him for just over 6 months and its just starting to happen, when i walk over to him he bends down, or if i come in the room he runs behide the settee, what should i do, do i give him back to kennels or try and make him not be afraid of me, i dont want to give him up i dont what him in the wrong hands of people again he so sweet, just dont want him be scared of me,

I currently have a two year-old silky terrier/shih tzu male who weighs 10 lbs. He's very sweet, but he does love to play rough sometimes (ex: he likes to roll/tumble with the cat). I would love to get him a canine "sibling", and I'm drawn to the maltese as a breed, but I hear they are very, very fragile. Is it safe to introduce this breed into a small dog (and cat) household? (PS--my cat would likely ignore the new pup).

What are signs of old age on a dog?

I just got a Chihuahua Male from the Animal Shelter and they did not know the age...I don't have the money RIGHT NOW to take it to my vet and just wanted to know if anyone had a clue... I asked this earlier in the week but I didn't have recent pics of my pup at the time. So here is the scoop. In November I saw an add for an American Bulldog pup (3 months old). I called and the lady said that the new pup and her older doggy didn't get along. So I decided to adopt the pup. She is completely brindle with NO white. The lady said she bought the pup from a breeder and she paid $650 for the puppy, if she wanted papers the cost would have went to $850. She went without papers but insists that she saw the registration form declaring the pup an American Bulldog. Now, I have done research and my pup does *kinda* resemble some of the other bulldogs but not really. The website does say that this breed is sometimes mistaken for a Pit Bull. What is your opinion? Will I ever know what breed she is? (ps her breed does not determine if she stays or not...she's a keeper no matter what!)

She is somewhat lethargic. I haven't noticed any other symptoms. We just got her on March 16 from the shelter. She has been retching and coughing since then. She had Kennel Cough (these coughs do not sound like the Kennel Cough I heard the day I picked her out) and the shelter said she received meds and was finished with them. She also received many vaccinations on the 14th and was spayed on the 15th. I have been thinking that all the trama may have been the culprit for all her wierd symptoms, but now that I noticed her rapid breaths, I am afraid of something worse. I will be taking her to the vet in the morning for sure. Can I wait until morning or should I take her tonight to an emergency clinic (which will cost an arm and a leg not to mention getting a babysitter)? Please tell me this is not a huge emergency!

When someone knocks on the door my dog goes crazy. She barks and growls. If I don't pick her up she will bite the person at the door, unless she really knows them. She has bitten a few people and I don't know what to do. Otherwise she is a very good dog.

i have 2 miniture yorkies n they are both like about 7 to 8 weeks old, anyways their super tiny and still havent grown all their teeth , which is the reason why im wondering how to teach them tricks if i cant give them any little snacks to reward them since they cant really eat them..lol idk im wondering at what age should i start teaching them lil tricks. like sit down, lay down, play dead, idk stuff like that.

my friend has a new puppy and the dog just goes straight for my feet and toes when ever i come over and had to take off my shoes since the house is carpeted. i read somewhere that it's a way for dogs to get to know people just like when they smell the butt of other dogs. so is this true?

I know, call me a bad owner. I've fed my dog Beneful which I didn't care for. Now I've switched to Pedigree but I guess it's bad as well.

So what kind of good dog food can I buy that is inexpensive? And I'm not talking 30 dollars for a bag. 6 dollars is really all I can afford.

At first it looked like a pimple, buts now it looks like its growing. It looks like pimples on top of pimples. I don't know if this is relevant, but he's a male chihuahua, he may be overweight, I don't know.
