My JR is crossed with a Scottie dog. She is nearly 8 months old now. For the last two days she has become really clingy and two nights ago she got scared by a cat fight in the garden and crept into my bed (first time ever). This morning I found her sleeping in the spare room. She normally sleeps quite happily in the living room downstairs. She has a dog flap so she can go in and out as she pleases.

Could she be coming into season?

My dog is behaving really badly, constantly whining and howling making it impossible to sleep. He also escapes and goes missing all the time. It's getting really hard to cope. I've heard that if he's neutered it may help but my dad refuses as he says he's too old. He's about 10 now. Is this too old?

A dog(not mine) has a chronic cough for the last 5 months but is otherwise healthy. Great appetite and exercises a lot without hacking or spewing. She must be at least 10 years old.

Although I am not ready to adopt another Dalmation yet since I have an elderly rescue Dally at home who needs my full attention. It would be nice to know what my options are so i have a list of people to contact in the future when i am ready for another Dalmation instead of accidently stumbling onto one at the local animal control shelter since they are very uncommon here.

My dog recently broke her leg, she is only 4 months old and the vet says her bone isn't growing back together, this was after a month. he suggested we amputate her leg, but after her operation she spent a month there and if I amputate her leg it would be all be for nothing. So I am desperately trying to save her leg. Please help. If there is some form of calcium or something I can give her to speed up her bone growing back together, I would really like to save her leg.

hi all!
i am gathering recipes for simple home remedies etc for a file i am starting.
i'd love recipes anyone knows of for things like:
-dog treats
-toothepaste
-ear cleaner
-shampoo
-flee treatment
-flee relief (i.e. for bites and itchiness)
-nail cracking or dryness
-paw (pad) cracking
-tear stain remover
-cut/graze anticeptic
etc......
Of course i dont want home remedies for things which need medical treatment. i know that dogs must go to a vet, but for simple things like this where there is a more natural remedy i would love to know!
this is also for pregnant women who a lot of the time cant use the heavy chemicals in a lot of these products.
i hope u guys have some great recipes!!
=)

We just bought her a large bag of Purina Beneful plus give her table scraps, she has thrown up twice since this last bag! She has thrown up once in a while in the past, since we've had her (shes about 3 yrs old) . Don't all dogs throw up now and then, isn't that normal? I am so freaking out through this madness!
