oh! She is the cutest little snuggle butt! As too the pads... put them everywhere at first (except too near to her food or sleeping area of course!) and find where she prefers to go, then praise her to the skies when she does it on the pad. It doesn't hurt to put a bit of her pee or poo on the pads to help her identify the scent of waste with the scent of the pads. Also, stick with the same brand and type of pads during training. Keep in mind that dogs learn ALOT thru their noses.

Every time you see him doing the circling dance put him on the pee pad and then when he tinkles -- say good boy!

My puppy would half use the pee pads and preferred to go outside so the became as a back-up.

I put a tarp on the floor, an octagon play pen hooked with bungie cords to his crate (with door open), put his water on a spill proof surface, and put down 2 pee pads in case he needed to go while I was at work. Sometimes he hit the pads, sometimes he hit the tarp, but at least it was easy to clean up with some pet enyzme.

Good luck!

Constant reinforcement and crate training. It takes awhile for the dog to get used to it. Just be patient and it will happen. When she/he does go on the pad lots of praise and the occasional treat helps!

when it pees on the floor put a pad in it soak it up
then lay it on the floor where you want the pup to go potty close to the door and keep an eye on the pup every time it squats put it on the pad

it will smell its own urine and know there is the spot to go

you should even try to catch the pup and put it outside asap that way you can abolish one step in the process i never used pads
i just took our pup outside as soon as he squatted

I trained my dog by just sitting there until she did and if she went to leave i would just sit her back on until she did.
