I recently baked some fun cookies in the shape of hot dogs. When I gave them to a friend, she suggested that we could make something similar for dogs and sell them in her (very dog-oriented) community. Does anyone know any good recipes for dog biscuits, preferably something that can be shaped or used with cookie cutters? And are food colorings and decorator gels healthy for dogs? What ingredients should I avoid?

My dog doesn't let me cut his claws.. they are really long right now. Everytime I try to cut them he starts growling and looks like he is ready to attack... What can I do?? Help!!!

He is currently 5 1/2 months old and weighs 55 lbs. I live in south-east Minnesota, so it can get pretty cold in winter and hot in summer.

We have our dog (Alsatian) 4 years now and my sister found a cat 5 moths ago. They haven’t met each other since yesterday because we kept the cat to the first floor and the dog to the yard. Any way they "met" yesterday and it was horrible! At first they looked at each other for a while and then the dog started barking and the cat freaked out! Can I do something so they can get along? Summer is coming and the cat will start to go out to the yard and I don’t want to have...Victims!!

We were going to breed our show quality Sheltie but not until she was around 2. She is 10 months and while I was on vacation, she went into heat and the petsitter unknowingly left her with a 8 month old male. Could he get her pregnant at his age? How dangerous is it for her to get pregnant at this age? We will take her to the vet in a few weeks to see if he can feel puppies or maybe do an x-ray. My main question is though can a 8 month old male dog get a 10 month old female dog pregnant? Luckily, he is a very sweet show quality Sheltie as well but it doesn't stop me from worrying 'cause she is awfully young to have a litter. We already have a list of people who want to buy pups from her so that isn't an issue.

I know tigers can be found in forest, dolphins can be found in ocean nature.
But where can I find dog in nature? I am not talking about wild dogs like dingo. Any breed type. for example, where can I find a Maltese/boxer/cattle dog in nature? not those in pet shop or raise in backyard. If nobody breed these dogs, is that mean there will be no more dog and extinct? where are these dog breed origin from? and why there's no more in nature except household or petshop?

my mum bought a collie/labradour cross at 5 wks old due to the mothers milk dryin up. he's 4 mnths old now and we've tried alsorts to stop him frm jumping up and nipping which is becomin a pain apart from that he's a great dog and well loved. Does any1 av any ideas pls

" Am I doing something wrong or are they lacking something in their diet? I leave him outside for 15 min to play and as soon as I turn my head he goes for the dirt. I've placed his own stool in many of the the holes so he doesn't go back to those but he make new ones seemingly as fast as I repair them. Is this a game? Can someone give me some insight?"

My dog has both, an enlarged heart AND a collapsed trachea. His gagging has lessened since he's been on Lasix, but now he seem to have a really hard time with inhaling...his throat closes and he has to forcefully gasp in order to inhale. And the noise, MY GOD, THE NOISE! MY QUESTION is, what medication would be safe to give him in addition to the Lasix. PLEASE don't say cough medicine, because if used in combination with the Lasix, it could kill him. He is very uncomfortable. What medications do they use for Tracheal Collapse and would be safe when used with Lasix? He has been heartworm tested...negative.

Is it OK to feed my dog Wet Dog food that I buy from an Natural Pet Store??? Or is dry better??? I have been feeding her Pedigree and kibbles and bits. I just recently changed her to Canidae Dry food, and she doesnt seem it eat very much of it??? Any help Please...

going to Australia on Wednesday for a trip of a lifetime and my beautiful golden retriever is going in kennels for 4 weeks, I know I will bawl my eyes out on Tuesday when we have to take her to the kennel, who else gets really upset and stressed about doing this.
