Wet food is alright from time to time as a treat, but it does not contain the nutrients that a dry food has. It will also create runnier stools, which no one wants. I know that you want to feed your dog a food that it enjoys, but you really should find something that will benefit the health of your dog.

She may not be eating the new food because it is so different from the Pedigree that she was eating. You should try mixing the new food with her old food. After a few days, start adding more of the new food into the old, and she will be used to it. It will also be easier for her system to digest! I hope this helps.

Canidae is really good food. It has an all life stages food (puppy, adult, working, and senior or "PAWS") It does not contain wheat, corn or soybeans. Its a big change from Kibbles n' bits. which is like eating mcdonalds! Dry is better than wet foods. you can give your dog some wet every once in awhile, especially if its holistic wet food. I just wouldnt confuse your dog anymore by giving her wet food since you changed her diet to Canidae. after shes used to the new food, give her a little bit of the wet.

let her get used to the canidae, that is a really really great food! that's great that you switched her! she will eat less of the canidae because it is a lot more dense. look at the ingredients compared to kibbles and bits. kibbles and bits is mostly corn, so a dog has to eat more of it to fill up. give her the amount suggested on the bag. she won't starve herself if she is healthy. there is really no need to feed wet food except for as a treat.

Dry dog food is better for their teeth. Wet food causes plaque to build up more than dry food. If you plan on feeding wet food make sure to get her teeth checked annually and cleaned when needed. Many people don't realize that dirty teeth can cause heart problems in dogs. Try mixing the dry with a little bit of wet. You may want to consult your vet and get their opinion.

This is a free article at Whole Dog Journal and will be extremely helpful.

Every food on the market contains different ingredients, and each one has the potential to cause symptoms of allergy or intolerance in some dogs. Every food contains a different ratio of macronutrients protein, fat, and carbohydrates and you have to learn by trial and error which ratio works best for your dog.

Wet food is ok once in awhile, or a wet and dry mix. I think dry is better for their teeth and digestive system.

Yes, it should be ok unless your dog's under or over weight or has a health problem of some sort.
