Cheap food. The discount brand dog foods contain a LOT of fillers and other junk the dog can't digest. This causes them to eat more to get nutrition and poop more because so much doesn't get digested. It just goes right through them.

Depends what you are feeding them. If it's a cheap dog food with lots of filler they need to go more often. On the other hand if it's a high end food they only have a few BM's per day.

They only poop a lot if they eat crap quality food.
