What kind of quality of life does he still have? Is he still eating and drinking water? What does he do during the day? As far as cremation, it's what I plan to do when my babies leave me. My mother-in-law had all her's cremated and placed in urns and put them on her fireplace mantle. It sort of gave her piece of mind and comforted her. It made her feel like a part of them was still there with her. When it comes "time" to euthanization, as a pet owner, you should be able to tell when it actually is the right time. If there is little or no quality of life left, then that would be the time. However, if your min pin is still eating and drinking water, and has fairly good quality of life left, I would hold off. Is he ill, or just old age? Either way, best of luck with your decision.

Many people are chosing cremation these days. There are some beautiful urns available or you can bury the ashes.
