>>Maybe you could try to put an ice pack on over his eye. Is there no emergency animal hospital by you?? That would be the best option.

If you don't have an emergency vet in your area I would get him to the vet first thing in the morning. A red spot could be minor or it could be an injury that requires further treatment. If his cornea is scratched, he might need treatment to keep his eye from getting worse. A veterinarian can also suggest treatment for his cataracts. Veterinary opthamology specialists can do surgery to remove his cataracts, just like they do in people.

Take him to an emergency vet to have his eye examined. It is probably really painful for him. If you've ever had an eye injury, you know how much it hurts. Dogs feel the same thing.
If there is no 24 hour vet in your area, take him first thing tomorrow morning.
As far as the cataracts go, you can see an animal eye specialist regarding treatment options such as surgery.

If your vets office is closed, an Emergency Animal Clinic in your area, would be able to examine him. They are open 24 hours a day. If it was my dog, I would take him there. I know you feel bad, but I'm sure it was an accident.

Call an emergency vet and see if you can put human eye drops in his eye. Maybe hold a little ice pack over his closed eye. Hold him close and make him comfortable, so you can possibly distract the poor guy from the pain he may be in. Look online for some answers too.

Well it's really bad and you need to call your vet now. The red spots are bleeding inside the eye ball and it is dangerious even if your dog does have cateracts. If you have an emergency vet get you dog there tonight. If not then call your vet and see what he or she has to say.

Put a cool washcloth over his (closed) eye to help numb it. Just keep him comfy and take him to the vet first thing in the morning.

If you don't have an after hours vet in your town just watch him tonight and get him in in the morning. Give him lots of love and I would add an apology.
