I would suggest your neighbor get the dog to an Emergency Animal Clinic Immediately, before it's too late. Poor dog! I sure hope he makes it. Let us know what happens.

First of all what he is experiencing MAY not be from the tainted food. But vomiting is a symptom of renal failure (kidney failure) which is what the tainted food is causing. You need to contact your neighbor and get them to take him to the vet NOW!! If you take him to the vet, you WILL be responsible for the bill whether it is your pet or not.

Have you got a contact number for your neighbour? They need to know that their dog is sick. If you can't contact them I would call the local vet and ask them for advice. Chances are they could have the owners contact numbers as well.

It's you're neighbors dog and their responsibility not yours. What a responsible and sane owner would do is take the poor thing to a vet!

If he's in renal shut down, there's not much you can do. The vet will put them on IV's, but that doesn't guarantee a thing. Multisystem shut down is eventually fatal, regardless of what treatment is given.

WHAT???? They haven't taken him to the vet yet? He should have been taken to the vet as soon as they heard the news about the dangers and the recall. Tell them to get the dog to the vet ASAP!!!!
