When changing a dogs food over from one to the other it is important to do it over a 10 day period. So the first day you would give your dog 75% of what he normally has and 25% of what you want to give him then over 10 days increase what you want to feed him and decrease what you don't.
Your dog will not starve himself to death, but it may mean he may go hungry for a couple days until he gives in to the hunger.
Dogs are not so much taste orientated as what they are texture orientated and smell orientated when it come to food so this is the reason why you dog is set in it's way
Also the 10 day principal works well as it will also avoid your dog get the food change over gastric upset as well

Well, a good way to tell what food is best for your pooch is by his or her's stoll reaction. Example if the dogs stool is firm and not loose and moist, then that food agrees with your dogs digestive system and is a great fit. And vice versa. if your pooch is not feeling the new foods that your a buying, then just simply be firm and leave the food there for the dog to eat. Sooner than later the dog will become hungry and feed it's self. I dont think that your pup will starve it's self...eventually the pooch will eat and be happy.
On the otherhand, if the dog will not eat anything- consult your vet. Ther may be another issue.

You shouldn’t be switching brands often anyway. Dogs like to stick with the same thing. If you must switch brands, do it gradually. Mix the new and old food together for a few weeks, slowly adding more and more of the new food until finally giving him/her the new food only.

If you get new brands constanly and dont switch the food brand over a period of 5-10 days, this may be the reson. If you dont switch the food slowly, then your dog will get a tummy ache and might not like the food.

your dog may not like that food sometimes it takes a while to adjust
i would not switch that often and go back to the 1 that your dog did eat unless it is on the recall dog food list
maybe your dog does not like the flavor some have fish flavor (example) check to see if your dog likes the taste
it might not be the food it could also be your dog is sick if this just started
good luck

Suddenly switching your dog's food can be very upsetting to their system. It's best to stick to one brand or transition the dog slowly to the new brand by mixing it in incrementally with the original food you were feeding.

Get the dog something he likes they are pretty much creatures of habit and they like their routines. My dog will only eat IAMS petite biscuits and Solid Gold Dog Kibbles mixed with stewed chicken and grated cheese. Sometimes he will eat grilled beef and occasionally he likes liver with onions or pork roast but he loves Fettuccine Alfredo however the Vet said too many calories and I had to cut him down to low fat low sugar ice cream too. He does like a bit of pate and he adores Brie cheese and Camembert. Also, he is crazy for butter cream cheese pound cake but the Vet said not too much of this.
I don't tell you about his insane cravings for Cheese Fondue

You shouldn't change dog food brands often without reason. When you do change, slowly start mixing the two foods together.
