I am on my period (too much info, I know) and so before I left for work this morning I put 2 ibuprofen in my pocket. I came home on my lunch to walk the dog and was feeling terrible so I took my pants off to lay down. There was a dog treat in my pocket and I know my dog at that. I can't remember if I had taken my ibuprofen or not this morning but I know it was definitly not there after she at the dog treat, she is acting fine, what should I do?

My little chihuahua had surgery to fix her hernia yesterday. This morning and afternoon she has had a little drop of blood in her urine. I called the vet and they said its normal. She has eaten and drank water. She is moving slowly and sleeping alot (normal after surgery) but looks like she has some discomfort. Is it normal to have blood in urine post op?

I am willing to travel to PA, WV, VA, & DE. I'm not looking to pay anything over 500, I know I can get a dog for as low as 300 online. I'd just rather pick one out in person.

My old man Max, a shetland sheepdog, goes nuts when ever I wrestle w/ my child, my child swings on a swingset, or if he runs around he will grab him by his pant leg to stop him. He barks an unhappy athoritative bark, not a playfull one. Normally my dog is calm and is almost mothering/protective of my six yr old. I sometimes wonder if he thinks I am hurting him or that he is in some danger. I also wonder if it is jealousy. What do you think it is?

We have one spot where our dog has torn up the carpet. We fix the spot and then she'll tear it up again the next day. We put an old rug on top of that spot and she tore up the rug in that exact spot that she is trying to get to. It has reached the point the we don't know what to do anymore. No matter what we do, she finds a way to tear it up. Any advice or help would be really great! Thanks!

When I take my dog for a walk, she will not go near drainage areas on the edges of the sidewalk. She stops and refuses to pass anywhere near them- to the point that I have to pick her up or figure out away around it. I've had her since she was a puppy so I'm sure that no one has ever stuck her in one. She has always done this and it's weird. She doesn't discriminate- she is scared of all of them so I don't think there is something that she hears or smells. And she isn't afraid of other holes in the ground. Does anyone know why she is afraid of them?

I have a 9 month old pit bull/lab named Ponto and he is very smart... BUT he doesnt's pay attention to anything I say! He listens to me when i tell him to do a trick that he has already learned, but i tried to teach him to gimme paw, I tell him gimme paw 2x then if he don't do nuthin i pick up his paw and say gimme paw again. I always try to get him to look down to see my hand is out, but he just sits there. I took him in a quiet room and he STILL didn't listen. How can i get him to gimme his gigantic paw?

My baby girl (Curly, four years old, female) is in heat and I found her the perfect mate - a small, tanish-brown chiuauwa who is a champion (whom's name IS Champ) breeder, who also is in heat, and makes beautiful puppies. Yet, both Curly and Champ are mixed-breed and I mated them together (which of course the owner agreeing). When in the processoss of doing this, I made sure that they were mating the correct way,I made sure the semen came the correct way and everthing. Now that she is pregant, I haven't a clue what I should be doing. Curly has had another litter before, but that was when I was two. (I'm 14 now.) Please inform me on how to care for her, what suppliess I will need, and what I should do. Thanks for Reading!

Many people have a lot of opinions, differing and the same, on ear cropping. Online and off. It seems it's been a pretty hot topic in the dog world last couple of years. So for a research paper for English, I wanted to take a look into cropping opinions coupled with the same person's opinion of PETA.

So - what's your opinion of cropping a dog's ears? And why do you believe it or why have you come to that conclusion?

Secondly -- what's your opinion on the orginization PETA? Bad, good, hate, love, should be destroyed, should be put on a pedastal?

Thanks for your time!

I have a 31/2 lb. chihuahua 10 yrs.old.she has always pee'd on puppy potty papers, as that was the only way I could train her, because she WON'T go out in the winter, and if I make her,she ends up sick from the cold. anyway recently she has been peeing on the carpet right NEXT to the paper. she still does her business on the paper, but she ISN'T peeing on them.
now the carpet that is only 7 yrs old smells.I have used my scrubber, with pet cleaner that is suppose to take the pet odors out, it dont work.I have tried everything.does ANYONE know a home remidy or something I could buy, that will work. I finally bought a used mesh playpen, that I am going to have to keep her in when I am at work. as I am gone from 5am to 2pm.
PLEASE help...

I just adopted my puppy, her name is Mollie, and Ive only had her for a few days now. She is nine weeks old and Im starting to potty train her. I had her outside all day today, and only fed her once, only because she didnt want to eat at noon. Im worried though. Her puke was orange, then when she threw up again, it was yellow, but it wasnt as much as the first time...and then she threw up what look like alot of spit. I do remember her eating a June bug and some grass, hopefully her system is getting rid of whatever is upsetting her stomach...i hope she isnt sick...I plan on taking her to the vet tomorrow, so of course I will ask them...But could also be the heat from outside?

I know its better for her because it will almost eliminate her chance of getting cancer and infections in her uterus, and unwanted pregnancies..etc.but I am so scared of her not waking up or something going wrong! Its all I can think of! She is going April 2nd. Why am I so worried. Yes I have asked before but how safe is it really??? Gosh, I love this pup, she is brillant, and loving and so playful and she listens so well and well..she is my good buddy...and yup, I am asking again...
