Same thing happens with my puppies. I found that nothing works for me except keeping the garbage in a kitchen closet, under the sink, or on the counter. Puppies are just so hyper all the time it's hard to keep them outta things. Good Luck.

Most dogs will get into and eat garbage. The best thing that you can do is buy a trash container that has a lid AND put the trash in another area that you can close the puppies off from, like a bathroom or under the sink in the kitchen. Be carefull, garbage eating can be very dangerous to dogs, especially puppies.

try not to avoid the problem by just putting it out of reach. That is not teaching your dog that it is not the right thing to do. They will just find something else to entertain them.Does he do it when you are home? Try training him not to go in it. whenever he goes into it, very softly, and quickly "pull" the skin right below his head like a big pinch. It is what their mothers would do to keep them out of things. When you do this, say "NO". If your dog stops, give him a treat and praise him. Eventually, he will leave the trash alone AND you taught him the word "NO".Do it with your dogs separately. Also, get some plush toys for them to tear up so they don't go off trying to find something to tear up.

some puppies will eat anything. You should have an area or room just for the puppies. If their out side they should have a fenced yard. You should give them alot of puppy chew toys. You need to keep the puppies away from the garbage.

I use a bitter spray in the trash. The best is to get a trash can with a lid. But the bitter spray helps to deter him.

bordem or anxiety. my puppy does it when i'm not home. he only does it with my fiance.

try to keep the trash cans off the floor or put a spray on them to keep the pupps away. boundary is a good one. if that doesnt help, sprinkle some fresh ground pepper or cayanne pepper.
