my friend has a new puppy and the dog just goes straight for my feet and toes when ever i come over and had to take off my shoes since the house is carpeted. i read somewhere that it's a way for dogs to get to know people just like when they smell the butt of other dogs. so is this true?

Never heard of the butt smelling thing but my dog loves to lick our toes and we crack up. At first it feels good but after awhile it is just weird. I love my puppy!

my 10 months staffie x lab does the EXACT same thing with everyone that comes in who have open shoes... i was wondering the same thing too... and i've come to the conclusion that maybe its just a way of saying i like your smell, your my friend kinda thing...

why do dogs like to sniff or even lick people's toes?
For the exact same reason they eat poop...
because their dogs.

well eaither their teething and love to lick or their just smelling or in their case they have a wierd way of cheacking if your on drugs or kokane
