I have a teacup maltese puppy (maybe three pounds?) about an hour ago she ingested about half or a little less of a chocolate "bell" i guess from christmas...and i have no idea how she got it?!?!?! It is very small, and she hasn't shown any signs (vomiting, excessive urination, seizures, etc) yet. should I still be worried if she seems ok?
BTW...the cany is very small (bite size) if she had about half at her small size could this be fatal???

thanks!

My 3-month-old doesn't eat much of her dod food recently. She used to eat it when she first arrived. On the other side, she likes human food so much! I got some information online saying that we shouldn't let dogs eat human food, but the vet asked me to give him rice and meat! We tried to control her food from the very beginning but my neighbours liked giving him human food. Is my puppy spoiled? We've changed a few favours but she only ate them on the first day. Now she only eats when we feed her or throw the food on the ground (then she'll chase it as if she's hunting or sth...)
What can I do now? She's my first pet and I want to give her the best if I can! Thanks...

I washed my favorite button down shirt but made the mistake of hanging the shirt on a clothesline for 2 days. The hot, bright Southern California sun faded the side of the shirt that was facing the sun. One side of the shirt is a beautiful crimson red, while the other is a dull faded red. I don't want to throw the shirt away. Is there anything I can do? Can I dye the shirt to make it a uniform color? The shirt is made of rayon. I am a guy and don't know the "finer" points of laundry and fabrics--I need some good advice.

My dog sheds so bad and the regular slicker does not do anything for her fur. Is there something to do or different kind of brush for their fur that works??

Hi, my sweet golden retriever, Dillon, is very sick. He's 14 years old, completely blind in one eye, partially blind in the other. He's had two tumors removed within the past 2 years and has another, somewhere, but we don't know where, he's too old to have an x-ray because the vet would have to put him under anesthesia. He's losing his beautiful coat, losing control of his bladder, and he just wants to sleep, bless his heart. It's just killing me and I need emotional support. He is the most loving, devoted, congenial dog you've ever seen. I love him so very much; I'm losing him and it's breaking my heart, can't stop crying. Help me, please.

If it is worms I was wondering if my son can get it when he crawls on the floor when she comes in and does that also if me and my husband can get it when she sleeps on the floor in our room and we walk around bare feet in the house?

I just got two new puppies. One is a half shih-tzu half chihuahua, and the other is a german shepard. They both need to get surgery or else they will get their periods and stain my carpet. My shih-tzu/chihuahua is about 5 months old now, and my german shepard is about 3 months old. When should they get surgery? Soon?

So we have no way of knowing what breed was used in this allergy test. If we look for a hypo-allergenic dog along with an air purifier, I am willing to bet that my wife won't suffer any ofr minimal allergic reactions. But she NOW feels after testing at a positive "4" that ANY breed of dog will make her ill.
HELP....I NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO TALK HER INTO GIVING "MAN'S BEST FRIEND" A TRY @ OUR HOUSE

We are getting a pitbull puppy. I was wondering is this breed a good guard dog that will scare away an intruder? Will this breed be a good watchdog or are they simply to friendly?

I have an opportunity to purchase/adopt a retired Greyhound that is 3 years old. He has been seen by a vet, has shots, etc. It will cost around $200.00 to adopt through the rescue agency.

Does anyone have experience with these dogs that can give me some insight on; temperment, longivity, problems, etc.?

Thanks.

My dog ate the mighty dog pouches a week ago. and the IAMS canned dog food a few weeks ago. He doesn't seem sick and he is eating his dry food normally. But should I still be concerned?? I'm a little scared now that I hear that it could possibly be rat poison that was in the food...
any suggestions would be great!!
