yes there is, however, raw meat with bones is best. regular dog food has lots of added crud in it. raw meat? what do you think the wolves ate? the bones scrape the plaque off. email me if you wanna pic of my 3 year old dogs mouth who has never had a dental. it is amazingly cleaan. the raw food also makess the ddogs coat softer, less poop out of the dog, only a little bit more expensive (but its worth it if you love your dog), signifigantly reduced health issues, better all the wal around. email me if you dont believe me at aferretboy@comcast.net or squirrelmonkizbanned@yahoo.com

Yes, in several doggie tasty flavors!
However, brushing along won't remove existing plaque. You'll need a trip to the vet for that. They'll scrap it off just like your dentist does during your yearly cleaning.
After that you can maintain the dog's tooth health with daily brushing.
Sounds like we're talking about human kids dental health. Well, it's all pretty much the same -- just different toothpaste. LOL

Yes, there is toothpaste for dogs. It is available from most pet stores, especially big ones like Petsmart, Petco, etc. And you can find it online. It comes in dog friendly flavors like peanut butter, bacon and cheese, chicken, and more.
Even better, some dog toothpaste is sold in a "kit" that has a "regular" toothbrush, like humans are used to, and a small rubber fingertip "sock" with small ridges, good for either small dogs, or sensitive teeth and gums.
It will likely take some time to get your dog to be willing to sit for a toothbrushing. A good way to start is to just put a little on your finger for the first few days, and let him or her lick it off. As he or she begins to like it (if they think it's a treat, that's great!), start putting it on your finger, but when he or she goes to lick it off, smear it on the teeth a little. (this lets the dog get used to you touching the teeth).
With practice and time, the dog will get more familiar with the flavor and the feeling, and it will get easier to do. It's also best to start with the small finger sock before moving up to the real brush.
Other helpful ways to keep the doggie breath at bay are to feed your dog dry food instead of wet, crunchy bones as treats, mint bones (good smell and the abrasive cleans the teeth well), and chew toys that are ridged to clean teeth while the dog is playing.
Good luck!

Try: top performance prodental toothbrush & toothpaste set. Brush your dogs teeth at least once a week. The mint flavor is actually the best flavor because it lasts the longest. If you also give your dog a greenie chew or greenie biscut, that will also reduce the plaque.

Of Course!!! Just go to your local pet store and ask for some. I brush my dogs teeth once a week to keep them pearly white!!!
I saw that someone suggested greenies. Don't use them!!! Pieces can build up in the intestines and cause a block.

Yes. You can buy these at Petco,Petsmart or from your vet. You should have your vet scale the dogs teeth every year. Rotten teeth could lead to heart trouble just like humans. Use milkbones to help keep teeth clean.
