Dogs see color. Just read this document. I've seen this in Dog Fancy or Dog World or Gazette, one of those before so I'm pretty sure it's true.

Supposedly yes. They can only see shades of gray, black and white.
But, oddly, I had a Shepherd that strongly reacted to a neighbor's hunter orange hat.
If the guy walked down the alley without the hat or with the same style hat but of a different color, there was no reaction. We even tried colors equally as bright as that orange, still no reaction.
Once that ORANGE hat went on -- the dog fireworks flew!

People say so but I don't believe it!It puzzles me too!My dog goes for her favourite green ball every time and she has 3 the exact same!Red,blue and green!

i saw a vet on TV say that dogs are not colorblind they just don't see it as clear as we do. I don't think they are because my dog picks out the green pieces of dog food and eats the green treats before all others.

i have done a research project on this, a dog is actually partially colorblind, it can only see blue and yellow, no shades of red or green. the retina in their eyes work differently.

Yes they are! Their eyes only have rods,,no cones! Therefore they see only black and white and the many shades of gray between! ;-)=
