As an emergency formula you can get electrolytes down him. Pedialyte or Gatorade or a product called Parvaid ( developed for dogs with Parvo). Best thing to do would be to bring him to the vet and let them start him on an I.V
If the pup is vomiting and can't hold any liquids down an enema can be used. Even keeping the skin(maybe the tummy...don't keep the pup wet), lips and mouth moist is better than nothing.

Another answerer just sent me to a site that states NOT to give Gatorade or chicken soup or apple juice to a dehydrated pet because newer studies have found this can make the dehydration worse. So until I can look into that further I'm going to retract the use of Gatorade( it was once vet approved for this purpose.)

WATER!!!! First and foremost, it need water. If it won't drink on it's own, use a syringe or medicine dropper. Get as much in it as possible. Another good thing for puppies, like babies, is Pedialyte. Do Not give it gatorade though. If it is too dehydrated it may need a fluid infusion. The vet will most likely have to do this unless you know someone that can get their hands on some sterile Normal Saline and a syringe with a large needle. If you have access to that tonight you can inject it under the skin and it will be absorbed into the body. If it is extremely dehydrated, it really needs a vet, but I know late at night on a Friday night is a tough time to come by one of those. Good Luck!

force water , pedialite and gatorade down the pups with a medicine dropper first see if you can get the pups to take some chicken broth willingly if not start the water and pedialite give small amounts every 15 to 30 minutes also you can give the pup replacement milk from the feed store or walmart this will also help replace vitamins lost and fluids but you also need her seen by a vet to find out why she dehydrated so easily

My pup had parvo last month.the vet gave him a 70% chance of dieing. They said he will die of dehydgeration. It was a stray pup but after over $200 in vet bills I had to bring the little pup home and say a prayer.I felt bad that I did not have the money to keep him in the vet for more then a night.I stayed up with him for 2 nights without any sleep.I gave him water in one of those childrens medicine syringes that messures 2 teaspoons.I would force a half to 1 teaspoon down his throat evey 20 minutes to every 40 minutes for 24 hours. Then the next 24 I forced 2 teaspoons of water down his throat every half hour.He hated it.All he wanted to do was die but I would not let him.I had to give him such small amounts because anymore then that would make him vomit.Work with your pup. They say if you pull the skin up on the scruff of their neck and if it stays up they are dehydrated.

if he's so far dehydrated that he wont drink water take him to the vet immediately like you would a human to get him an IV.
I had a cat who was severely dehydrated and they put an IV between his shoulder blades of this jello-ey yellow stuff and he perked up.
But seriously if you're saying how to 'SAVE' then you need to get him to a vet immediately and if the only reason you wont take him is because you cant afford it call around and see if there are vets in your area that will let you predate checks. my vet let my friend predate checks for her cats leg surgery when it was broken (500.00). That way they have your money but its in installments. If not you might have to give him up for adoption in order to save his life.

Actually it may sound stupid but it worked for my dog. You can give him/her pedialyte(non-flavored) and it quickly replaces the fluid and electrolytes lost during diarrhea and/or vomiting. It also helps prevent dehydration.

Try to give the puppy water with a syringe, if they won't drink take them to the vet immediately.

Feed it with water through a syringe.

Bring it to a vet and see what he suggests.

Take her to the vet, and they will put her on a drip! the drip will hydrate her.

My dog had to go on a drip. Basically they put a needle in your dogs vein and pump fluids through her body.
