My dog sheds so bad and the regular slicker does not do anything for her fur. Is there something to do or different kind of brush for their fur that works??

Slicker brushes are for the top coat of fur. Since the weather is starting to warm up, this is probably what she is shedding. Try an undercoat rake or a shadding blade. I use the rake on my 3 newfoundlands and it works great. I know that cockers' undercoats aren't as thick but its the same principle. After using the rake, then finish with the slicker. The rake also helps with smalled mats and with getting burrs and stuff out of her fur. Try it and see how it works.

Cocker spaniels really shouldn't shed a lot... Slickers are really the best brush to use for them. Try having her groomed professionally, maybe that will get the hair out. If she's still shedding a lot, you might want to ask a vet- excessive shedding can be a sign of problems.

I'm don't know much about dogs, but I found this site that covers grooming Cocker Spaniels. It shows one type of brush and two types of combs to use, plus it gives details on what/when to groom. I hope this site helps you.

ALL DOGS SHED!
There's absolutely *NOTHING* you can put IN or ON *ANY* dog to stop shedding!!!

*NO* dog has "fur" & PINBRUSHES are used on Cockers.
