She has been in heat for almost 2 weeks. The vet said it would last 4 weeks. She's been bleeding for the last 2 weeks and I'm wondering when the annoying bleeding is going to stop. Since she's been in heat she has wanted a bath every other day or so. And she really doesn't like baths to begin with. Can anyone give me some advise. We are going to get her fixed but would breeding her first make her a better dog after being fixed or should we just get her fixed. I really don't want her to have puppies but I'm torned between. I just had a baby 2 months ago so it's not the best time to let her to have a liter of pups. I'm trying not to be selfish. She's still a pup and I think she's too young to have puppies anyways. Need some advise.

My female chi started bleeding about 3 or 4 days ago, and I have been taking her to the stud dog every other day like people on here have recommended. They get along fine, but all they want to do is play. They never get down to business. I have been told she wont accept a male until the 8-12th day of her heat cycle, but they are telling me that maybe they are just not going to breed, and that maybe I waited too long. Do you think if I take her on Tuesday she will let him breed? Do you think I should find another stud dog? What is up? I am getting mixed opinions and I am so confused. Please do not tell me to get her fixed... I have home for all of the puppies if she has any. I am very responsible and financially able to take care of all of the puppies, and any problems that may arise. If I id not know I could handle it I wouldn't do it. I love my baby girl, and would never put her in a situation I thought would harm her.

And I dont know what to put in it. what should I bring? He is very hyper, hes only a year and 1/2 .
Im bringing a leash& collar, also his choke chain bc of the other dogs, it will be easier for me to handle him. But what else should I bring? I know water and treats, but what else?
We live in florida and its going to be held at our extremly large flea market, And it gets pretty hott, and I want to make sure were BOTH comfortable. This is the web site for it.http://fleamall.com/pages/event.html...

And what should I bring and put water in? I want to make a back pack. So please. Give me ANY IDEA!!! For me AND him. Also, Ask me questions if you need more. I'll check in every few minutes and edit.

I have two dogs one is around 35 lbs and the other is 60lbs. I usually buy different sizes of heartworm pills and frontline treatment. I was just wondering how important following that was. would it work if i gave my 60lb dog a heartworm pill for dogs up to 50lbs. I dont want to hurt either of my dogs.

First off, i know that one male dog humping another male dog does not make them gay, its a dominance thing. It's just.. my dog Buster has more than just that "feminine" attribute. I'll list them:
- He humps other dogs, male of female.
- He's fixed!
- He lies with his legs behind him like a female.
- He pees without his leg up.
- He sometimes submits when he's..male! (althought i think he has an inferiority complex, lol.)
- He ignores females sometimes, usually inteested in males.
- Same goes with humans (xcept me, of course!^^)

Okay im starting to think he might actually be bi..lol.

Some info that might help:

Age: about 3, but still acts way too immature.

Breed: Border collie X Chocolate lab

He's also a bit rough with people and not really sensetive about his "areas".
He's also SUPER hyper. (Hence the breed.)

My Westie is 4 years old and I've noticed recently that his gums sometimes turn red, also his ears at the same time. I took him to my vet and he was unable to find any irritant or broken teeth in his mouth and his teeth are clean. He said it was either allergies or stress but said he would have had to be very stressed to the point that he was hyperventilating to turn his gums red. He eats Innova Evo. He flared up once when some kids were over (he was excited) but they had also given him a bit of bread so I don't know what caused it. If anyone has had a similar experience with their dog and know what it might be I would appreciate your advice.

Huuh. How do i say this.. i think i seriously messed my dog up. Okay. Heres how it goes:

-mandy had a guinea pig.
-guinea pig got scabies and all it's hair fell out.
-guinea pig died.
-date when that happened was near christmas.
-mandy got early christmas present b/c her parents felt sorry for her.
-present was puppy.
-mandy was 2 years younger than now and VERY hyper and played roughly like a litter-mate with dog.
- 2 years later, dog is too rough for small children, and older, more mature mandy is in a crisis with dog's crazy behavior.
-dog gets angry too easily, rarely listens to mandy, and is more hyper than a ditzy cheerleader that just drank a can of monster.
-finally...
-mandy NEEDs advice on wacko dog.

p.s. mandy says giving the dog up is NOT an option.
