Canidae! I wouldn't ever want to switch..The robust health of my teenage dog says it all..She still dances when we walk, plays as a puppy, and can outrun and out-stamina some of the youngsters. (sight hound) and her coat is luxurious and lustrous.

For the past few months we have switched the dogs from Blue Buffalo( was causing too much gas) to Prairie, Nature's Variety. There are several formulas but we like feeding the Venison & Millet. They make a frozen food also that is good for your dog. To the kibble we add a bit of Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance canned. Dogs love these! There are plenty to choose from such as Venison and brown rice, Irish Stew, Southern Style Dumplins with gravy, and Chinese Take Out. At times we cook for the dogs and add this to their kibble. From time to time they are given cottage cheese or yogurt as a snack.

i feed raw. Least i dont have to worry about the dog food that is sold in the stores that is suppose to be safe not really safe because i prepare it myself. My dads dog died from poisoning from the diamond when it was tainted so i would never trust dog food to my dogs that come from the stores. After reading what is really in petfoods people would definately be surprised what their pets are really eating. Google what is really in pet foods and it will open a persons eyes. Science diet that people trust is included in this.

I can't believe the people who are giving thumbs down to the answers that have good food like Innova and Canidae and California Natural! Are these people insane, extremely defensive or just really uninformed?
Earth to the uninformed: Alpo, Kibbles and Bits, and most grocery store brands are the worst foods you can buy! http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/

I feed my dog Canidae, Fromm's, and Timberwolf. And those are good foods.
And to the one person who does see why feeding a dog a good food is important, maybe you should read this book called Foods Pets Die For:
http://www.amazon.com/Food-Pets-Die-Shocking-Facts/dp/0939165465/sr=8-1/qid=1168732872/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-2614351-6581739?ie=UTF8&s=books
I guess when you're feeding your dog the equivalent of twinkies and ding dongs they will snub the healthy food. Plus they don't have to eat as much of the good food.

Since the MENU dog food recall I have started my 5 dogs on Kirkland canned food ( Costco ) mixed in with their Nutro dry food Lamb and Rice formula. My smallest dog is a 4 1/2 pound Pomeranian and I am giving her Gerber baby food ( Turkey ) along with her dry food. It is important to keep checking the status of your dog food or cat food. See these statements http://www.walmartfacts.com/articles/4910.aspx and http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=070324234604.hfiw5vng&show_article=1

I feed my dogs either Innova or California Natural. Both have natural ingredients and are pretty much human-grade food.
If you plan to use Innova start off especially slow since it is a richer food than the dog might be used to.

I feed my dog a varied diet.....mostly human food, for example, leftover roast beef and vegetables last night. I buy dog grade diced mutton or beef and add vegetables, sometimes liver, cheese or egg, with a dash of kelp powder, and a sprinkling of coconut... there is a vitamin in this that is very good for dogs. She also eats a lot of boneless chicken.
