She has been in heat for almost 2 weeks. The vet said it would last 4 weeks. She's been bleeding for the last 2 weeks and I'm wondering when the annoying bleeding is going to stop. Since she's been in heat she has wanted a bath every other day or so. And she really doesn't like baths to begin with. Can anyone give me some advise. We are going to get her fixed but would breeding her first make her a better dog after being fixed or should we just get her fixed. I really don't want her to have puppies but I'm torned between. I just had a baby 2 months ago so it's not the best time to let her to have a liter of pups. I'm trying not to be selfish. She's still a pup and I think she's too young to have puppies anyways. Need some advise.

Get her fixed as soon as she is out of heat. I fix all my dogs before they have a litter and they are fine. besides, 7 months is very young to have puppies. she should at least be a year because otherwise her body is going to try to still be growing and also now trying to provide for others. I've actually seen dogs get sick b/c there bodies can't handle it

the vet is right, it might last up to a month. Make the appt now to have her fixed in a month or so. That way when she is out of heat you already have the appt and don't risk her going back in it while you are waiting.

good call on not letting her have puppies while you have a newborn in the house. you won't have enough time for either.

She is to young to breed and needs to be two before she could think about breeding.
She will have about 4 heats before you would breed her.
She will bleed about three weeks each heat.
It is messy and each time she has a heat it increases her risk of mamary cancer.
Have her spayed.
If you have just had a baby it is going to be years before you are ready to have a dog with pups in the house.
You have no idea how much work they are. It takes so much time keeping up with the cleaning up after them and takeing care of them and chasing them down and just taking care of a litter is tons of work and take up much time.

weve raise pugs for years and have enjoyed it immensely. breeding wouldnt make her any better. wait until shes out of season and then spey her. Its a shame to do it as pug pups are absolutely magic but do as you must.

No that's a myth that having a litter makes for a better dog.
Just get her spayed, it'll make her a healthier happier pet!
She'll be in season for 21 days or so..

what you need to do is to get her to the vet...
and if she has her baby then, she might lose more blood
and pass away
