I am freaking out. I have a 3 month old baby, and we have both had a round of thrush (fungal infection of mouth/breast, also known as oral yeast infection). It lasted for almost 3 months. I got treated, so did my baby.

NOW I am afraid my doggie (1 and a half year old chihuahua) has Mange or Thrush or some kind of skin fungus and I am GROSSED OUT AND PANICKING because I don't know how I'm going to get rid of it.

I CANNOT afford a vet's visit. I repeat, CANNOT do it AT ALL at least not for an entire MONTH I am that broke. IS there any way possible that I can treat this at home, with any kind of anything at all??? For my baby and me, we had to use Gentian Violet, vinegar rinses, bleach our clothing and bedding, sterilize everything after EVERY use, etc. etc. and it STILL lingered. I am so grossed out. MY house is moldy old trailer (like 50 years old) and I don't have alot of hot water, it only lasts for 4 minutes.

Please please help us quick! Or I will have to giver away!

I took my dog to the vet like 2 weeks ago for a vaccine (rabies). Yesterday I felt a small mass just before his knee. Could this be caused by the vaccine or should I be worried?. I know I have to take him to the vet. I just need to save some money. The mass is soft and it does not causes him any pain. What could it be?

She's an 11 week old lab puppy and we can't get her to stop chewing on, and eating, the twigs/branches in our backyard that have fallen from the trees. She's also starting to get interested in picking up and carrying around rocks, but hasn't tried eating any, yet!

She has all kinds of chew toys that she loves, but she ignores them as soon as she's outside. We've also tried getting special toys that she only gets outside, but she likes the wood and rocks better. I'm worried she'll chip/break her teeth on the rocks and that she's eating too much wood. It's all over the yard so fencing off a certain area won't work. Help!

They told you she/he was a combo of 2 diff breads and so you adopt she/he take them home and wait to see how big/small she/he will be?

I adopted a Coonhound / German Sheperd...I had never had a big sized dog but felt I was ready.

Sadie is 3 1/2 years old now and is still the size of a 13" Beagle. She does have the tan/brown Coonhound colorings but I don't see one bit of G>Sheperd in her. Do I care? NOOOO! She is my gift from God and I love her full out. I am hearing impaired and she hears for me, entertains me and is the best companion I have ever had. Size means nothing! All you need is love.

Please, tell me your tales :)

i have a siberian husky puppy of 12 weeks and a pug of 2 1/2 years...now, my pug might think otherwise, but he is hyper around children and other dogs or certain people...a real lover with me, and an almost human like intelligence...

the husky is too new to be anything, but he is a quick learner and eager to please.

these guys go at it all day long...the pug just keeps jumpin on the husky or bringin it a toy to pull on, tries to steal the puppies toys to get a rise out of him....the husky tends to nip at the pug when the pug comes to play and he turns on his side and paws and bites (not too hard) at the pug, whom by the way mouths very lightly but puts his body into it like he was.

they play may start like that, but it continues to increase, especially when the husky bites at the pugs neck or tries to bite his paws (not at full strength)...there hasn't yet been any blood drawn, but i am worried.

is this normal behavior? btw, the pug never stops, the husky tries to hide.

Hi..my friend just recently bought a bichon frise. The puppy is very active (biting on everything) which of course is expected. But she just took her to to the vet and she already weights 6.2 lbs (at 3 months). She has a very petite frame but she is worried that she is going to be big. I know that a bichon's weight could be from 10-18lbs but I was just wondering if anyone who has a bichon can tell me how big your dog is? I know she was hoping the dog would be no more than 10-12lbs. What do you think?
Thanks a lot!

what make them professionals? Is it the amount of time they been breeding? Would they call a person who have 2 purebred dogs with papers, up to date shots, and overall healthy background a backyard breeder if they decided to breed the two together if they are not related? Why is it cool for them to breed as much as they want ,but the next person who dont give thierselves the title "professional" but follow the same safety and caring vet rules, need to spay/ neuter thier pets? What are they doing so "professional" ? Just trying to do my research. Who is the professional watching and maintaining the animals out in the wild as they breed and deliver? How are they surviving without the professionals?

I rescued a 1year old husky on Wednesday. I am having some issues with his bathroom habits. He is very good about going outside to pee but will not go number 2 on the leash at all. I took him to my mothers yesterday she has a large fenced in area and let him run. As soon as i cut him off the leash he took a poo. But when hes home on the leash he wont and he goes in the house. What should I do, I cant let him off leash in my yard??????

O.k. here is the deal.4 month old yorkie. Had him 1 months. came mostly paper trained. Will holdpoop until outside or we can catch him - he runs in circles. We got rid of paper to not confuse. Scheduled water and food. take him outside whenever we take him out of the crate, after we feed him. crate him when he hasn't gone outside and know he has to and try to take him out every 30 min. He has held everything overnite since we got him (11-6) but these last few days pees in his crate. He pees in the house EVERYWHERE . I have gone thru gallons of nature's miracle. Is he too young to get it? Am I being too hard core with him? Do I need him on an on the dot schedule? Oh and it's freezing cold outside. Often when we take him out to go he'll eat snow or drink puddles -frustrating! why is he going in his crate? Should I bring back the paper until the spring and slowly moove it outside? Will that make him think it's o.k. to go in the house? He never whines or sits at the door or signs for pee

My Shih Tzu is 65 days pregnant today. She still has no signs of going into labor. How long before I should get worried? Her milk came in a week ago. She mostly just wants to lay around and not do anything.
