When a dog humps you, it's not always sexual. It can just be out of any type of excitement, and that obviously means it can tell that it can't 'do' your leg.

probably no hes like your wife when you do her. She closes her eyes and thinks of someone she really wants to be having sex with. same with your dog. hes thinking of the bit@h down the street.
