Dog by far. Weird how I have 3 cats and one dog and then say dogs are better! My fiancee prefers cats where I'm a dog lover but I also love the cats.

It depends on what type of person you are, but first you have to be commmited for both, a dog just doesnt need food and love it needs a 10-15 year commitment. and also training socializing. Me personally im a dog person dogs are all about you if you leave for a hour they act like they havent seen you in years =).
And they stay by your side i love them.do your research because lots of people get dofs or cats and they end up at shelters(and some euthanised mostly because not enough room.)You have to be ready before you get any one of them,

Why do we always have to choose?My life wouldnt be compleete without a dawgy and a kitten!I have 5 cats and and (my sisters dog......) 1 dog-plus we are getting a puppy in the summer!We adopted two of the kittens last summer,they were so much fun!And we adopted the dog in feburary last year! two other cats we adopted years on back-and one cat we adopted around augest!We love our pets and if i had to choose-i would go into a mental breakdown!I couldnt live one way or another!

Back too my answer though- i couldnt live without my kitten baylee licking my nose when its time to wake up-or my dog bear (and his friend who is always over ) trixy racing me too the barn at 6:00 AM!I couldnt live with out all my cats watching my cook somthing for breakfast-hoping to catch a crumb!Or when Bear and trixy walk my to the bus-and wait untill it comes ao they know i am safe!Or the way whenever you open a fridge all five come running from wherever they are!Or when your trying to take a shower and baylee decides to jump in :)! And though you have to clean the littler box every day,and take the dogs on walks and pick up there poop on some ones yard...... its all worth it,just to be unconditionally loved!And i could never choose between the two......and i will never-over my dead body-choose over the two!!

They are both great.

Cats act like they own you which is funny and makes you laugh. They love getting pet and while you are gone, won't care and will just sleep untill you return so that they have energy. Cats can be destructive and always like to have an immediate source of food and water.They also need you to clean their litter box if you don't let them outside.

Dogs can protect you from harm, cheer you up when you're sad and will always be happy to see you. They don't like to be left alone for a long period of time and even if you were gone for 1 hour, will act like they haven't seen you for days. You have to pick up dogs poop and they always want you to pet them when they don't have anything to do.

I am a dog person but recently I got a cat from a friend I love him BUT he has scratched up my leather couch, made war on my plants and terrorized my dog. I am working on training him but have you ever tried to train a cat?????

I would definitely say dog. Dogs are loyal and make a great companions. Cats scratch and may eat one of your other smaller pets like fish, mice, rats, birds, and hamsters. I say dog!

Hard to answer.

Cats are generally independent, don't mind being left alone as much as dogs.

Dogs are loyal, want attention, want to please. Cats act like they own you. Dogs act like you own them.

I have both and love both for different reasons. It depends on what you're looking for.
