I got a 3 month old puppy. I have had him for about a week now and he has been very good! He has been eating, playing, and acting like a puppy should. This morning, at about 6 am when I woke up, he was heaving a little bit, and some 'foamy' like stuff came out of his mouth. All day, he has not really eaten much but he has been VERY active and playful. He has been on the same food since he has been born, and I haven't let him eat anything other than his normal puppy food.

What could be wrong? I'm worried!

My mother and stepfather are looking for a puppy for our new house that we are moving into the end of March. There is a fenced in yard for the puppy to run. If anyone has any info on free puppies in Illinois, preferably Northern, please contact me!

My dog keeps jumping up on the couch and sleeping on it while I'm at work. She comes to the door when I get home from work but the couch is still warm so I know that she has been sleeping on it. How do I keep her off???

Well the wifes dog keeps trying to hump mine and i call it gay but she claims that all dogs do this when they are bored. WE HAVE A 2 YEAR OLD BORDER COLLIE LAB MIX WHO SCRATCHES AND BITES AT HIM SELF CONSTENTLY. THE VET SAID THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH HIM. HE DOES NOT HAVE FLEAS AND WE'VE TRIED BITTER APPLE AS WELL AS THE HOTSPOT SPRAY BUT NOTHING SEEMS TO WORK. COULD HE HAVE AN ANXIETY DISORDER AND IF SO DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS AS TO HOW WE CAN CONTROL THIS BEHAVIOR. HIS SKIN IS RAW AND BLEEDING...IT LOOKS PAINFUL! SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE. THANK YOU

Charlie is almost 3 years old. We got him when he was 10 months old from the pound....He's a Chow/Irish Setter Mix....and for the most part during the nice weather he is an outside dog....but not during the Winter. We try and let him roam around the house with us and be with us as much as possible...but he just wont sit still...he paces the room and barks constantly. Nothing has worked so far to make him settle down. Any ideas?

I saw this picture of Leonardo DiCaprio with a very cute dog and was wounding what breed it was. I have no idea what breed it is but it does look familiar. Here is the link to the picture.

The vet said it wasn't ringworm, but it is round patches, they both have them. The vet has given antibiotics and prednisone. One is on an allergy diet. I bathe them with a shampoo that contains triclosan, sulfur, and salicylic acid. It's just getting worse. Should I add tea tree to the shampoo? Can I try tinactin?

I have 4 australian shepherds.2 are neutered, and 2 are intact-1 is a female.my female had her first season back in january.Ever since then,my neutered male keeps attacking my intact male. The two are intact because they are show dogs.
We never see this coming-it is always a surprise when it happens.

Are these good dogs or just mutts. My wife is looking into one but I don't want a really bad mix. Do you think we should hold out for a purebreed if I want quality. I don't care if it is a hybrid, just as long as it is considered a quality dog with some value. I have had a bad experience with a mutt before (really dumb and aggressive).
