TRY the bell on the knob...to start, stick her favorite treat in the bell, as she tries to get the treat, she will make the bell ring...each time the bell rings, praise her, give her the treat and take her out.

Once your pup has obeyed your command, in a soothing voice, appreciate his action and express your care by rubbing his chest or patting him. You wouldn’t want him to be excited and playful while you are teaching something, so avoid any quick movements of the hand, especially over his head and neck along with a shrill voice. The emphasis is to learn what your dog recognizes as a reward after being obedient.

There may be times when your dog may not listen to you. Losing temper is not the key. Rather, analyze whether the command is simple enough or whether he’s plain bored doing the same thing over and over again?

Good luck, I have a beagle who never totally got it. But I was told to put bells on the door knob of the door she'll use to go outside. My daughter's dogs both paw the bells when they want to go out. I think in the beginning, you take the dog to the door and show her how to hit the bells w/her paw, then take her out. My daughter uses one of those sleigh bell things Christmas decorations w/about 5 big bell sewn on a long ribbon. You could probably make one.

If you notice your dog is following you around or paying a little more attention to you, chances are she wants to go out. Every time she does pay attention to you try getting her leash, asking her "Do you have to go potty?" and walking to the door. Do this every time. Dogs are creatures of habit. And the best way to teach them is to make a habit out of this.

I went to dog training with my dog and I remember the teacher saying "We don't really train dogs, we train people how to understand their dogs." I believe that somewhat.

Hope that helps you. Good luck!

We set up a system where we hung a bell on the door knob. Everytime our lab has to go out he goes over and rings that bell. Actually I think the dog likes ringing the bell because when it has to go it will ring it like 5 times to let you know.

We also give him treats when you goes out and does his business and comes back in. Everytime you take your dog out make him ring the bell...with his paw or his nose. If you do this everytime the dog will get the idea.

yes try watching her. get a bell and attetch it to a area near the door. when you think it is time for her to go out or she show signs of need to go out you walk her to the door and ring the bell. so each time she goes outside to go potty the bell is rung. i hope this will help you

Get the canines all excited and chasing then you run out the door and contact it from the different facet, make a relaxing game of it, attempt conserving the flap open a sprint and contact it, plus the take care of element is nice to.

Good that she is potty trained. Did you potty train her with those square pads? She is probably used to peeing on those. So I suggest you just keep using those or whatever you were using for her.

Use the two words together (Lets go Potty) and (Lets go outside) using both will make him learn both. so either way one will work for either.
